Question of the Day: Do you prefer an angled trim nailer or a straight version finish nailer?
@ProxyFinal2 ай бұрын
Have you tried using this with a 2.0 ah battery? I have noticed that on the HP 18GA, the nailer doesn't want to shoot when it's on 2-3 bars left of battery, but for some reason it works best with bigger batteries. Mind you, I have come across other brands that had similar shoes such as the Metabo HPT. It needs to be at least 2 bars and above to operate properly.

I picked up this nailer because of your video. Yes it is a bit on the pricey side, but the performance is awesome and in my opinion worth every penny. I have it paired with the older 3AH 21700 pack and using it to replace all the baseboards and trim in my home. So far zero jams and flawless performance. Nail depth is so much easier to set compared to the older model which I have also. Dare I say it's also quieter as well.

I like the fact that it’s smaller than it originally looked.

That sounds very similar to the Milwaukee

This Ryobi nailer is very solid. I'll have to test them side by side to compare.

For homeowners only. I have nevervencountered a ryobi that is commercial grade. Maybe this is it. Thanks
@MarkThomasBuilder2 ай бұрын
I'm not sure if Ryobi has ever claimed yet to be commercial grade, but this is definitely meets or exceeds to be a prosumer grade nailer.
@brianf96192 ай бұрын
Definitely Not Professional Grade, I bought the HPPlus 18ga BradNailer Kit and then later the HP Plus 16ga Nailer Kit and had to Return them by Noon the next day, after a few hours of doing trim they Both started jamming up and misfiring , it was a sorry sight , they are not made to be used repeatedly for hours . The Ryobi FanGirls always get Mad and try to Defend their little green tools , it's hilarious....😂😅🤣

My experience has been different. I've been in construction for twenty years and have done commercial & residential carpentry, frame to finish. I've worked alongside two guys, one running Milwaukee & the other Dewalt, my primary line is Makita. We're all "tool guys" and have often used the latest & greatest including Hilti & others. ...with all that out of the way, We've all have a random assortment of Ryobi tools kicking around and the general consensus is that they've been reliable & decent for what they are, and that there's been more "gems" or positive surprises than lemons. I have the 16 & 18 ga. Brad nailers & use their cordless nailers exclusively, and they've ran as reliably as their peers.

Can you refill the air chamber in it like you can the framing nailer?
@RJ-cc1fz2 ай бұрын
I have built 3 homes with the framing nailer and never had to fill it with air.. what are you talking about
@jhippl2 ай бұрын
@@RJ-cc1fzyou can refill the pressure chamber in the ryobi framing nailers with a tire chuck if your nails arent sinking all the way. its in the manual on how to do it.

Yes, I believe so. I haven't put them side by side yet, but will likely make a short video comparing them.
