Ryoko Kui is quickly becoming one of my favorite fantasy storytellers. The way she weaves a world through a lens of culinary cuisine is quite extraordinary, and also endlessly fascinating.

What's funny about Senshi is that he has a lot of fatherly / big brotherly? qualities, but he can also act very immature at times. I'd say it's more of a joke than a problem but maybe it reflects the way that he was a hermit for a long time and isn't used to so much contact with other people. I also like the way chilchack acts with them, kinda like the party are energetic kids and he's worried they'll get themselves in trouble. It's more visible later on though. So we have two characters who act like they're like fathers something like that, but in different ways and at different times. I think it's really fun

Senshi definitely, at times, lacks those social skills, which makes sense as you said he was kind of a hermit. But even in his silliness, he is still imparting wisdom. It's so much fun to watch. Chilchuck is the perfect counter-balance to the silliness. He's practical and yet easygoing. As long as it isn't directed chaos at him, he's cool as a cucumber. So it's pretty hilarious to watch him thrust into moments where he can shine and he does mental "panic rolling" the way I play souls games. Until he finds his rhythm, of course. I love that he brings this kind of subtle humor to everyone else's more overt hilarity. I really love the current party dynamic so far. It's been such a joy to go on the adventure with them and with all of you!

Although it's just a theory, I think the living armor and the living sword are separate species that have a symbiotic relationship. To me, the mollusks colony that make up living armors resemble sea slugs while the mollusk living in the sword resembles a conch snail (it's because of the eye stalks).

As always, your commentary is so cool, I love hearing the thoughts of someone who has some experience in storytelling and what you can get out of each episode because of it. I'm glad you are continuing to enjoy the series and are excited to see what's next, really hope you will like it:)

I appreciate hearing that! I'm constantly surprised by what pops out to me as I watch any of the shows I'm keeping up with. But I'm especially drawn to imagining what goes on under the hood to make something like this show. I think there's something very... arcane (?) with creativity that is like an unspoken language. Yet it also has this kind of energy to it that forms at the edge of conscious awareness. So there are moments watching this show in particular where I just have to stop because I can feel that creative connection. The language is there, but as you can often see in my reactions, the words aren't always very forthcoming. Haha. It's so much fun to both get lost in someone else's creativity and yet to also feel a similar connection that inspires my own creativity as well. It's like actual magic! It's been such an amazing experience to be able to share in that magic with everyone as well!

For the zombie phobia part, I think I have that too. Since I was little, I would sometimes stand terrified at the idea of having a hord of zombies come bargin through the door, and I would stand helplessly. I remember having often nightmares where zombies would be in it, or majorly being in an apocalyptic world where you have to fend for yourself. That supprised me that through a series of weeks after just seeing a glimpse about a zombie movie, I had nightmares about it for a while, and I didn't even seen any "gory scene" when I glanced at it O_O

I really do think a lot of the fear comes from feeling that sense of helplessness. As a kid I used to watch Sightings on TV, and I'd always end up having this recurring dream of grey aliens looking in my wi dow down at me while I slept and I was both paralyzed and outside of my body watching them take me. So, I do think there is that mental component of being afraid of feeling helpless. Good thoughts!

Keeping uploads slow for now, with future surgeries and treatments in the coming weeks/months I'll need to go to on the horizon. I don't want to go weeks with nothing posted on the channel again, but I do have all of the Delicious in Dungeon videos recorded up to current! Ill be releasing the reactions every Friday! Diving into One Piece reactions today. Really trying to focus on recording so that should anything major happen, I may not be up for recording, but I can always edit here or there. My goal is to work back up to near daily videos again, but it's going to take some time! Bear with me, good stuff is on the horizon!
