Yeah ^_^ I also love how the son is all "Mom. I know you always have rice for breakfast." when he serves up her breakfast, and just how that as well as seeing how much her son has grown up gets to me. And reminds us too with this how food connects us to family, memories, etc.

I love the little detail where the kid gets shy around his grandma to show it's the first time she came to visit. After a lot of anime depict kids as enthusiastic and happy to meet new people and just being a cutie this was a nice change, this is how kids irl would likely behave around their unfamiliar relatives.

This reminded me of my late grandmother. What would she have felt if she saw her stubborn son (my uncle), all mature and taking care of a baby with a loving wife? She died two days after the baby was born... Anyway, nice video... it made me teary 😂
@bakapoco5 жыл бұрын
Your comment made me go from teary to ugly-cry, it reminded me of my grandma who passed away before my aunt's son was born. That aunt who couldn't do anything herself and could barely fry a non-burnt egg is now a mother of two kids..

Don't know how to explain, but it gives a more "japanese feel" than most animes nowadays. I guess it's because the characters are normal people of all ages and it tries to make something more "family oriented".
