I love the Japan's culture. There is so much interest in hobbies like these that is mainstream and not just a niche hobby. From gardening to aquascaping to photography ... In all these hobbies, the culture tends to make it an artform as well.

Nice way to take a trip to Japan and see the beautiful aquariums at the store. Love how they scaped so many of their tanks. Truly a labour of love (and cleaning too lol)!

Man that store is crazy good! They scape the sales tanks! The other amazing thing is that the entire hardscape section is outside in the parking area without any security at all. It's even like that at night. That's something I truly love about Japan!

Ya you just can't pull off an open unguarded area like that in America. It'll get stolen or vandalized for sure. Maybe some parts of Hawaii or Guam.

I always did well on contents for my Aquarium(USA). But when I see all the product available and on display in Asia, I'm almost ready to come out of retirement on the beach in Mexico and move to Asia to build more Aquariums. But then as I sip my Margarita and watch the sunset, I think NO... I'll just watch Ryo instead. lol 🙏

Hello Ryu 🙂 near from me in an little city, an old shop owner has an Aquarium/Terrarium store that was so incredible, he had full planted tanks with very rare species, Hydrolycus, Arowanas, rare fishes and plecos from all ower the world. The most of them you could not seen because every tank was an green hell. If you had a question-the owner knows it all....today there is an Handy shop inside and the cool stores are in Vienna.... best greets from Austria/Europe, i like your channel!

I can't imagine what I would do with the opportunity to shop there and when I see displays after displays using everything that is everywhere in Nature and make each aquarium look like just the one of a kind and uninterrupted works of living ART 🎨

Your fave plant at 08:38 is a _Monstera_ 'Peru'. It has various disputed names I think, lol. Sometimes it's just called _Monstera_ sp. 'Peru' ("sp." meaning "species"). People will literally say "spuh" or "S. P.", when it just is an abbreviation for "species". Haha.
@erikm8372 Жыл бұрын
...And actually, you're not TOO far off by thinking it's a crypt, because both _Cryptocoryne_ and _Monstera_ are aroids. In the Araceae family with philodendrons, pothos, anthuriums, etc. Also Anubias and Bucephalandra!

The tetras that you cant remember the name of are called Reed tetras. They only get about an in size. I have a school of 10 in my 15 gallon. They look really good with black neons. The store sold them as Kitty tetras, but the Reed tetras have a white fourth fin near the tail. This store is a league above with the time and effort they take to scape the tanks with fish for sale and not just display tanks. I’m going next time I’m in Osaka.

What place did their tanks get in the 2022 contest? Is wood sticking out of the tank a high ranking scape? The store had a lot of cool looking scapes. So I can feel bad about US train travel, how long did your trip to Osaka take by train, is it quit a bit faster than by car?
