Since the crowd strike incident Microsoft is killing kernel level access (including anti-cheats) and will have to operate on user-mode (they will probably get some API they can hit to access some info that Microsoft will provide). That means Linux gaming is back !

Probably won't happen. Unless there's AI that is allowed to read all your system files, read device manager and watch your screen while playing. Basically train the AI what the average cheat menu looks like. And ban you, if you open your cheat menu. When adjusting your settings.

Yeah, its just some non-sense. Also 99% chance to not f it up. YEAH NO.........i dont trust them. I remember being banned/kicked out of games so many times by punkbuster as it was badly programmed so trusting Ai to do this is even worse. Heck, they can use Ai to manipulate player behavior of what you can do in game or not. Did you put c4 on that car to crash into other players... no good.. you banned.

anti cheat developers have never and wont ever present evidence because cheat devs can just go and well watch the evidence and that way get around the systems this is a very common practice, same goes for cheat devs - popular cheats that are free and anyone can get them get broken down and essentially patched by anticheat devs, thats why they are paid/private options

This. Zero demo or demo footage. No explanation, just "yes works behaviour analysis" 99.99% accuracy, trust me bro. AI is notoriously bad at detecting other AI, chatgpt detectors error rate is through the roof. Their thing is only meant to work against basic aimbot that locks mouse to player, and does not address the problem of AI cheats at all.

Its kinda what capcha has been doing. Its not that you answer the questions right. Its the fact that your mouse movements and you reaction time. How the mouse moves isnt a perfect start and stop in a straigh line. Its human. To make it that variable to be undectable woild be so incredibly difficult. It would be cheaper to hire someone else to play for you (for now)

I wrote a similar AI cheat as a learning project and documented it on my youtube. It also wasn't even that hard to make, it took me 2 weeks. Tho I keep it private, it was only made for learning the technology.

I've always wondered why we don't use ai for anti cheat. Have an ai watching the game and looking at what the player does. It could at least catch rage hackers pretty easily

rage hackers are easy to catch with an anticheat anyway. Its hard to catch legit hackers because even humans cant notice it unless they are experienced cheaters themselves I've watched a lot of cs overwatch videos and constantly see legit hackers who even some of the best cs players don't recognize is cheating because they haven't cheated themselves. If even most humans cant detect cheats obvious to cheaters, then how is an AI supposed to do it?

With how alpha and beta errors work, ai anti cheats can be tuned to have a smaller false positive chance at the cost of more false negatives And I think in this scenario it's better to have more false negatives (% wise) than false positives

Now in these ages there is allot of LLm's trained to just detect Players, This is useful for Like aimbot where you can make it automatically trigger on them. There is no possible way to detect this unless the AI uses patterns which an anti cheat can detect(very rare)

Great video! It would be interesting to hear more about how ACE handles the actual banning process. Is there a human in the loop for this process? We believe that more attention should be given to mitigating false positive detections. For instance, we've implemented a system called "Player Toxicity Score." This score increases with each detection by our models (for different toxic behaviors), allowing game developers to set custom thresholds for when action should be taken against a player. This approach helps balance detection accuracy with fair treatment of players.

This is not my word, nor am I saying that this is true Edit: Not only is it possibly illegal. But remember the incident with Crowd Strike? Imagine some bad code was pushed and it messed up your computer. And now you can no longer use it. The possibility of that happening is low but never zero

99.99%? I'm sure that's based on their own research, in reality it's going to be much less, especially with AI cheats that use another "anti-cheat" AI to detect their own cheats before the main game anti-cheat (like GAN) and use anti-cheat bans as training data.

yea the ACE anticheat does not work as they claim... Instead it is automated ban from reports... And cheaters run rampant... Its literally anticheat from temu..... Like they claim to be able to detect player behaviour etc and ban based on that.. Yet in Arena Breakout Infnite the forbidden raids(The highest tier raid where you need to pay to enter and wear x$ worth of gear) are pretty unplayable..

I want to be hopeful, but AntiCheat has never really won this rat race. I don't think its doable within Windows as it stands. Clever hackers can inject code into other drivers that call legitimate Windows APIs too. There are too many holes to ever plug them all.
