Thanks for this respectful video.I first attended in 1962 missing just 6 Home games until the heartbreaking move in 1993 and visited 84 different league grounds(mostly Old School and mostly Millwall). Been to 1,778 matches in those 60+ years of going to matches and have entered my 8th decade. My season ticket @ The Cold Blow Lane End comes in 1 month. Millwall broke The F L record by going 59 Home games unbeaten, over, almost 3 seasons, in 3 different Divisions, unbeaten from 1964-1967(surpassed by Liverpool/Chelsea since). Hold the record for taking most fans to Wembley (BOTH Old and New Wembley) with 49,000 Millwall in attendance, when, typically, losing to a last-minute goal in 1999. 😀

I only watched this video because it popped up in my timeline. I’ve supported Millwall since the very late 60’s. I’m only commenting because when you looked at the memorial wall the first plaque for Reg Newman was someone I knew because we were both going through cancer treatment in 2010. We met in hospital during treatment, got chatting and found a common interest in Millwall. His passing hit me hard and I still have his mobile number in my phone, because I just can’t remove it. A short video with so many memories. Thank you

Being QPR, theres not much love between us and Millwall, but I recognise there's plenty in common between both clubs too. There's often the topic of leaving Loftus Road one day, I'd prefer to stay, but if there is a chance of moving to a new ground, I wouldn't complain if it had a similar design to The New Den, not too fond of modern stadiums but Millwall definitely done it right I think. Also happy belated birthday! 🎉

@@socallawrence Our current chairman, Jimmy Berylson, is American, who now succeeds his father, the late, great, much beloved, John Berylson whom the Millwall fans absolutely adored. John pumped a fortune into our club to save us from financial oblivion and then fought our local council and the 'dubious' property developer who were deploying 'suspect' (I won't go any further than that for legal reasons) measures which were 'not in our club's and the local community's interests'. John fought them and he, and our club, won. In short, we've got a lot of time for yanks and we make them welcome. Following the global reporting of one of our supporters, the 'Lion of London Bridge', who bravely took on the three armed terr or ists at the London Bridge terr oist attack with nothing more than his bare fists which allowed lots of people time to escape which saved their lives, we have a lot of tourists, especially American's, visiting the Den to watch a match when they visit London on vacation. Because, contrary to popular belief, the majority of Millwall fans are not racist, because we all grew up in the surrounding area and had mates who were black and they too were Millwall fans! Of course every club has its fair share of racists, but Millwall as a club, for all we’ve done for the local community over the decades, still get shafted by the media, and unfortunately our past will always be with us and will be dragged up anytime TalkSport, Sky or any national newspaper want to make a point about hooliganism or anything racist. Why do you think the anthem, “No one likes us, we don’t care,” is sung by us from the stands? Because the media and a lot of snooty clubs don’t like us, and never will. And do you know what? We don’t care!

@@unpoppablebubble thanks for engaging in the conversation by replying with a comment that adds nothing to the conversation, but just proves the point I made about being shafted by others who think they know what they’re talking about, but in reality sadly don’t. Bravo, Sir. What a closed mind you have!
