Facts are that day Everton did show up, but they went to Whelans at Surrey docks, that’s not a lads pub. At all. Far far from it. If they’d have gone to the blue, about 5 mins up the road they’d have met the lads from the forresters, the bank, the anchor. You’ve also got the Stanley 2 mins round the corner. They’d not have lasted 1 minute. The only lads they encountered were youngsters, 17/18/19/20/21 year olds involved. And they didnt even batter them. Later on, statements were made by EVERTON fans, hence why a Millwall lad went to prison and they all got off. They do love a fairytale these scousers.

West Brom fan, went down 2 years ago on the train, got off at Bermondsey rather then south Bermondsey so had to walk from the station, was glad we were running a little late as the street was empty but wasn’t the most pleasant walk to the ground. Yeah,EVERY football club in the country has a "firm"-league(and quite a few non league as well) its just some are better than others-I'm a 62 year old Chelsea man and EX-hoolie(from aged 14-30) and then i FINALLY GREW UP!! Had a few tear-ups here and there,personally i think if you're o loyal strong ORGANISED firm you'll have more wins than defeats in that game,personally came unstuck a few times and anyone that says they've NEVER been done in that game is a f*****g LIAR!! Like at Cambridge United in thevery early 80's cos basically we (Chels) went up there the previous season and took the piss!! so ex-army cambridge utd. fan thought he'll arrange a different scenario for the same fixture the following season which duly happened-this is in the old 2nd division by the way-(yes football DID exist BEFORE the premier league started in 1992!! hahahaha!!) So they ( camb. utd) DID get revenge the following season at cambridge cos they were so WELL ORGANISED and i have to say FAIR PLAY TO THEM!! We(ME) got our arses kicked that day i'm NOT ashamed to admit it cos of the total unexpected element of surprise and the top-notch WELL-PLANNED AMBUSH and ORGANISATION of their firm that day!! from Piers a.k.a. Any Old Skool proper hooligan firm who take 40 "naughty forty" (sorry but what a name it sounds like a pornographic film) mean crazy men from Stoke City to Portsmouth for a tear up must get some mention surely. The late 70's, 80's were crazy days for many hooligans from both the North and South who all had their good times and bad times depending on who visited their own backyard! Having been an active ex-old Skool hooligan member with over 25 years of fighting rival fans all over the UK with the "BOLTS & MIGs Crews" of Luton Town, there have been some good organised firms whose club colours don't run, and some very poor organised firms whose club colours always run. Respect to the smaller firms who fear no foe!
