The fact that this is the dud archetype of the pack is kinda amazing? They're all dang cheap and you can use these massive awesome bunguses to help existing decks is just really cool. They're not crazy strong, but they do good things in an interesting way. I'm really into the design here.

Its interesting because they are giving various types access to interesting types of interaction. Dino doesn'[t tend to have a negate in it, Water can now have a Compulse and anyone can just have a freaking Dim Fis. Its kinda wild.

its actually incredible how complicated and bricky ryuge seems at first, but there are so many cool interactions you can find with the deck. I actually didnt realise that the fieldspell on its own without mistva is already full combo lol. Also a small Oviraptor engine can unbrick your entire hand as that small package makes all of the summoning effectsof the big guys live.

it isn't unless you have a way to trigger Hakva and allow it to search Mistva. The two main ones are foolish Carboneddon or foolish Misc War Zone add Hakva banish Enba foolish Carboneddon Hakva banish to add wyrmwinds, activate wyrmwinds carboneddon banish special galaxy serpent hakva trigger to special hakva tuck back wyrmwinds to add mistva mistva activate mistva pop itself to add dino domain synchro for glaciasaurus field special summon 3 and then here, they had Diviner for N'Tss, but instead you can do Kaiva tuck back dino domain to pop glaciasaurus, glaciasaurus trigger to special back, mistva trigger tributing a 10, special summon, pop field, place dino domain, xyz for varudras. +1 wyrmwinds if you have an s/t you can replace with mistva. Or just xyz for varudras with hakva and emva and leave up 2 negates and omni that triggers mistva to special itself and place 2 more negates Alternatively to glaciasaurus, you can run stuff like Auxila to provide protection for your backrow and get an interaction in Phalanx.

Given how cheap the Ryu-Ge core is, it's probably worth buying just on the off-chance its support, or a new archetype, busts it open wider than Maliss and Ryzeal (a huge task I know), but it would be hilarious. It's happened before with Deck Build packs after all! A Rescue-Ace EMERGENCY! sized miracle as MBT puts it. But Memento was complete garbage on release too and now kicks ass.

That's what I did day of release. Everyone was buying boxes and didn't want the Ryu-Ge cards so I literally got them all for free.....and owing one guy a soda next time he comes to locals. Good thing I run the locals and get drinks for free.

Memento was overpriced on release. Bone Party and Angwitch are 3 ofs and quickly shot up in price even before the new waves of support. Ryu Ges only expensive is litterally Mistva unless you chase the Super Rares on the Ryu Ge Spells/Trap and CRs on the monsters. Its way cheaper than Memento ever was.

Hakva and its continuous spell sound crazy for Swordsoul

Ryu-Ge Voiceless Voice is a really strong variant of the deck since it turns Saffira and Barrier into one card combos alongside Lo and Diviner which were already one card combos and makes the end board go from 2-3 interrupts to 5-7 depending on which you open, it also helps with OTK’s since resolving both effects of the field spell is over 9000 damage while also being able to destroy 3 cards in the process and doesn’t lose to targeted monster negation, you can also fit in 15 non engine by changing around ratios, I have a video posted showing the combo and deck if anyone is interested 🐉🦕🐍

I bought the entire deck for less than $20 and I'm currently having a blast. War Zone is just such a ridiculous custom card thanks to the huge variety of non-Ryu-Ge targets. You can banish a Giant Rex or a Kaitoptera for a Level 4 body that can maybe search Poly. You can mill a Misc, a Qoatlus, a Chiwen, a Tenyi, or an Abyss Dragon Swordsoul to start plays. You can search Lappis Dragon as a free Level 5 Tuner, Scrap Raptor to start popping, or even just Mo Ye to start synchroing. Deck is crazy, very cool, and dirt cheap.

So regarding War Zone, since it's an EFFECT to put one to banish, grave, and hand, you CAN activate the card even if you're under Shifter/Macro. It will resolve, adding 1 to hand and banishing 2. You CANNOT activate it under Droll or Lancea, reason being Shifter/Macro change the location the effect sends it to, whereas Droll and Lancea prevent them from even attempting to go to those places.

another avenue I've been exploring is splashing deep sea diva and reese the ice mistress. choose the sea serpent as deep sea diva and then add her to your hand. summon her and then special out the reese. activate field spell to summon the 3 big bois and then synchro for Transcendosaurus Glaciasaurus and crimson dragon and then flip crimson dragon into whatever 12 dragon synchro you want

I’ve playtested this in Dino’s and swordsoul and I’ve found that the monsters aren’t as bricky as you might think. They all can become extenders if you’re able to do more stuff with your main engine. I’ve even found ways to hard special them with their own effects and get Varudras anyway. I think the deck will have a fairly steep learning curve if one wants to get really proficient with them.

the deck pure is pretty nice too based on testing, its practically an otk deck with good interactions multiple searches and interesting mechanics with them shuffling, discarding and banishing themselves, it also has enough room to play staples like ash and infinite imperm, i play mine with trap trick but you can probably remove that for triple tactics or some other hand trap line

I was kinda hoping to see dinomorphia ryu-ge since it allows for the deck to make more actual plays and not just set 5 and sometimes normal summon especially since depending on your hand you can banish a giant rex off the field spell which gives you a body to overlay with one of the level four dinomorphias giving acces to the evolsaur xyz monsters its not broken but its a fun little deck

Hear me out: what about a Metaphys/Nemeses Necroface mill strat? Emva forces the opponent to draw a new hand, so if you manage to resolve Necroface 2 or 3 times and also use Emva's effect there is a big chance you'll hit a lot of combo pieces, possibly shutting off the opponent. As a bonus you also get to summon Hakva with little to no effort, and if you play Nemesess, you have access to Colossus (assuming you play it before the field spell) and a serchable Protos, wich is going to hit hard once you know what the opponent is playing thanks to Necroface/Emva.
