I've been following coverage of SF6 by yourself, Max, and Smug, amongst others, and i've noticed that it's become rare to see footage of Jamie and Luke, and to a lesser extent Chun-Li and Guile. I'm curious how much of this is due to people wanting to play the more recently released characters, or a reflection of how good a character is, or how fun they are to play? Guile looks very strong; but Ryu, Ken, and Juri, all look more fun, to me at least

Yes, it does. It has a reason for the weird look however. SF6 has a lot of SF2 references like the burnout idle stances being the same ones characters had in SF2, the perfect win animations for Ryu and Chun being their classic SF2 win poses, Blanka and Sim's stages being remixed versions of their SF2 ones and yes, that weird tatsu animation being the same as the SF2 one.

@@der_Mann_mit_der_Nase Every character has a normal idle stance, for instance Chun has her classic Third Trike stance with open palms facing upwards. When they deplete the six green bars under their lifebar they enter a weakened state called burnout, and change stance to let the player controlling them know. In Chun's case she changes to her SF2 stance with her two hands closed as fists. Same happens with Ryu, Ken and Guile, they revert to their SF2 stances.
