One thing Mario Maker definitely needed, and it's really stupid that they didn't do it, is the ability to not have a timer on your level. For those Getting Over It style levels, they'd be so much better without the timer.

6:55 No, it's quite obvious that there is something you can do- stop panicking and holding left as bouncing off to the right from a wrong angle sets you up to specifically never have enough momentum to get back on top of the very next donut. You have to skip one and get the next one down, which is only doable towards the top. Also, this entire level seems pretty obviously like it is built around the assumption of using the spring to rocket forward into a claw to continue momentum shift.
