You need to get a WiFi Extender/repeater along with a small USB battery powerbank to run it. It will greatly enhance the range and video feed. This drone is capable of more. Any range test without a Wifi extender is going to be really short. Also in the high winds, turn on the "sport" or high speed mode in the settings wherever that is. I know it has it.

Just do not expect great movies. Fotos to my surprise are quite nice but it may freese screen for some time...
