My only question is (I lost the mini instruction booklet) is which app do I download on my android phone? There are easily 10 versions and I'm asking for some guidance. I've found if I go in to airplane mode and enable only wifi, my video is super smooth no dropouts at all, I assume the mobile data, wifi, whatsapp etc causes the dropouts, try it works for me

Your connection was a snap but I’m finding connecting tricky and difficult. Some questions are not answered, like, How long to hold the button down? What color do you want the LED to be and should it be blinking and fast or slow? I got it to connect once and fly but it drifted into the only vulnerable obstacle in the room and crashed (a narrow vertical post can go right between the propellor guards). . I don’t see damage but now it won’t connect. The battery gets very warm. The phone says WiFi connects but when I pop up the app it says it isn’t. Frustrating. It may go back.

Really great little drone. To be honest, I know it costs a lot more., but I would go for the Spark, it just has soooo much more. However, for the price the Tello is untouchable .

Yes the battery charges went inside the drone and you plug the drone into USB

Media is captured on your phone and saved in you gallery. If you don't know how to get media off your phone, that's a different problem

I bought a tello it is slow motion and as for filming or photography yep the only thing that is good with the camera is it will give you 1.5 minutes of extra flying when you disconnect it very slow

It has a range of 100 m in any direction that includes height. However that is in perfect conditions usually you can’t ever max it out. I would have to say 75 m is Max in any direction

No you do not need home Wi-Fi to use the Tello. Your phone that you’ll be using to fly the Tello broadcasts it’s own Wi-Fi signal.

Yes there are some with markings and some without. If you pull off a prop that has a marking make sure you replace it with one that has a marking. Also props kitty corner to each other are the exact same

Thank you for the review, good to see it in motion, I bought my Tello over the weekend, only flew it indoors, after seeing how it can fly outdoors I think I will give it a try when the weather is good, I also hope DJI will develop Tello 2 or Spark 2, else I think I will just go straight for Mavic Air, but for now I think I will get the hang of how drones fly first before diving into higher tier ones.

be sure to turn off before you charge, wont charge unless it is off. #2 let battery cool for 5 min before recharging. Then should be cool to fly ...1.2 hours charge time..enjoy!!
