R3 3200G is 12+ nm same as the Ryzen 2000 series. and R3 2200G is 14nm same as Ryzen 1000 series. APU's on 7nm will be launched next year or reserved for laptops.

Ryzen is not really friendly towards overclocking tho, but with a rx 570 the bottleneck would be minimal, specially for the 3200g, no real need to overclock it

@@thesamedufus2012 For gaming all type of games, if you are building a new PC, 4 threads CPUs are dead. The minimum from AMD is the Ryzen 5 1400. This APU is for very light games and great for basic desktop usage. Not even 4 threads are good enough for desk office work.

Happy that the difference is not huge. I made my pc with 2200g just 4 months back. I was worried if amd comes up with an APU at similar price range of 2200g with a huge performance difference, I would be the ultimate loser. Happy that the difference would not be worth the wait.

While not huge the difference is still there I'd take a 5fps boost any day of the week, that can be the difference between playable an unplayable for some games.

Basically if you have a 2200G there is little reason to move to 3200G. Just stay with it until 4200G or something arrives. If you are buying now then if the price difference is more than $15 then get 2200G otherwise get the 3200G. That is pretty much it.

I have been waiting to build a new pc for a year. No games playing supposedly, now decided on 3200g for $99 with mb b450 and no stand alone graphic card to start with a single 8gb memory stick. Purchased a 1000w from b&h when on sales, plus a full atx casing six months ago. The 256gb Evo 860 ssd now is used on old pentium. Looking at this video, perhaps i can load a few simple games.

Why get a 1000w with these specs? It makes no sense to have such a high wattage PSU with very low power consuming specs. Also, why one single 8gb memory stick?? You wont be getting dual channel out of your MOBO. Ram prices are so cheap nowadays that it makes no sense to cheap out on them. You're better off getting a cheap 2x8gb kit for like 50 bucks.

Hi! You can only do that on the 2200G and 3200G, since those have an integrated Vega 8 GPU, the R3 1200 doesn't have igpu, so it won't work without a graphics card

Unfortunately no.. if you buy a dedicated GPU. I would not get this APU. Only 4 cores, 4 threads it's not a good CPU in 2019. You really should swing for a Ryzen 1600 with 12 threads at around $100 with a dedicated GPU and enjoy the amazing performance!
