Just pulled the pin on the 5700x3d. Videos like this made the choice a whole lot easier! Lose a few fps for half the price of the 5800? No brainer. Going from r7 1700x. Can't wait to play cyberpunk with butter smooth frame rates!

What I noticed here is that at 1080p the 5800X3D had a small lead over the 5700X3D, but about the same 1% lows in many cases. In 1440p, where most people would play with a setup like this (or 4K), they are almost identical, but still a good lead over the 5600. So 5700X3D is the way to go. Much cheaper than 5800X3D.

thats pretty true i wanny see smth like that. I'm currently on a ryzen 5 5600 and rx 6600 for approx. (1 year) and it seems to me that in competitive titles, even at a lower resolution than full hd, e.g. 1440x1080, I lose fps due to the processor... I was wondering if I bought a ryzen 7 5700x3D or a ryzen 5 5500xD3 if I was helped by the graphics load at a lower resolution + graphics settings (graphics load, for example, in Apex at a resolution of 1568x1080, around 60-70%, which is quite low), i can drop from 250fps to 160fps on 280hz monitor its su++s

@@lucho997 Incredibly worth it. I just upgraded from the 3700x. If you have the 4070ti super the 3700x bottlenecks it like crazy. Improved FPS noticeably in all games and 1% lows were MUCH better.

Ryzen 5600 processor cannot feed the 4070 ti graphics card. So it becomes a bottleneck. That's why there is a big fps difference in some games. Wrong test. A graphics card that would not bottleneck the 5600 processor should have been used. In this way, we could see the contribution of the pure performance of the processor to the fps.

I got the 5800X3D for $280 (approx) few weeks ago so can't complain as the 5700X3D is $ 220 (approx) in my country. So looking at the 1% lows that $60 are well spend I would think. Doesn't go beyond 75° C with a bit of under volting on a Deepcool AK620.

@@hoangtudaden1304depends on what GPU you have. With a 4070super the 5700x3d is nuts and completely annihilates the sense of the 5800x3d. But if you have a 4080 and above the 5800x3d it’s almost mandatory for a am4 platform.

There are some tweaks you can do with 5800x3D, it will drop around 6-10c and increase a bit of performance too. Just search on YT.
