Another great vid Mike I just wanted to share my own experience with this as from stock there's a bit of OC headroom on this chip with some minor tweaks. Make sure you have Ryzen master and latest adrenaline drivers installed. This is based on my test setup of a Gigabyte B550 Gaming X Motherboard + R5 5600G + 3200mhz DDR4 In the Bios : Find the option to force the initial display to IGD Video UMA Mode = UMA Specified UMA FRAME Buffer size = 4G Above 4G Decoding = Enabled Re-Size Bar Support = Auto GFX Frequency = 2200 GFX core Voltage = 1.2 (don't go above this) Precision Boost Override = Advanced PBO Limits = Motherboard if you're overclocking ram (and there are plenty of vids explaining this) My Adata D55 RGB 32000mhz (micron R Die) not great silicon I run at 3466mhz 16-19-19 with the following ; VCORE SOC below 1.2v (I have mine stable at 1.78) DRAM VOLTAGE at 1.36v With the above settings my Heaven benchmark jumped 11fps, and testing COD:Warzone gave an average 56fps which i think is pretty good. From my own testing the better the ram the more you can squeeze out of this processor, My testing is done in an corsair 4000D ATX case with a Wraith Spire RGB cooler and temps don't exceed 60 degrees while gaming. This is the only point were I disagree with Mike as I don't think you need to limit this to an ITX or mATX size, while the 5600G lacks PCIe 4.0 it's not going to have much impact on gaming. Black Friday is not too far away and if you can get this around the £210 mark as I did recently it's an absolute steal.

Yep, it good. I just built a desktop and used the Ryzen 5 5600G. I have had a lot of problems with GPU's in the past. When my previous PC's have died, it is usually the GPU and power supply that fails. So I saved myself some money this time and bought the Ryzen 5600G, although even using some of my old parts, the build still cost AU$1500.This is the first PC I built myself. AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with Radeon Graphics 3.90 GHz, 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
@dhanarputra5552 жыл бұрын
Exactly 2 weeks ago I have my first build on APU (tbh it was my 6th PC Build). I choose 5600G because I have 95% of iGPU performance from 5700G with much lower price. I build 5600G in a slim Micro-ATX case and couldn't be happier because the minimalism, power efficiency and thermal dissipation are properly designed for a sleeper mini/slim case. I'm heavily against those Noctua and 3rd party CPU Cooler because Wraith Spire (old gen with copper core) is better for this APU.

@SciPunk2152 жыл бұрын
There are many many use cases where you need a decent CPU but have no need for extensive graphics. In this climate, where GPUs are basically unavailable, these APUs are the obvious choice. I don't know why people have a hard time understanding that. The suggestion of buying a used graphics card makes sense for a budget gamer, but is completely unacceptable in any professional situation.

APU systems are great for those that just want a desktop that can do the every day, without needing to shell out for a graphics card. Really brings down the cost and with modern APU's like this one the performance is actually pretty nice for what you get.

@syncmonism Жыл бұрын
Nice for what you pay, absolutely. The cpu is roughly equivalent to a Ryzen 3600 (even though it does use the newer Zen 3 architecture), and the GPU is roughly equivalent to the best version of the GT 1030. The price you pay for the GPU gives you very good GPU performance per dollar, and you're also getting fantastic performance per watt, and obviously it also takes up a lot less space than needing to use a discrete graphics card. It's also the best integrated graphics except for the 5700G, which is only slightly better, and costs significantly more (and that's an 8-core CPU which just doesn't make a lot of sense for most people).

Perfect for a tiny PC but I opt for larger Media PC size cases so I can put in a GPU. I run 6600XT/6700XT on my TV PC's. I have a 5600G out in the garage but it has a old GTX1080. I have a $50 5600X in my area that I was considering buying to sell the 5600G but might be a waste of time as I don't game much in the garage and the back up iGPU might come in handy if I eve need to take out the old GTX1080.

Glad the 5600X deal fell through, the guy had no CPU in the box. Well a few weeks later someone made a $180 offer on one of my 6600XT's so I figured I could temporarily move the 1080 over to replace the 6600XT. In time I will come across a 6700XT/6800XT or better and that will push the 1080 back to the shop PC for its limited gaming demands. Just figured if someone was willing to pay $180 I might as well part with it and hold onto the cash for another deal. This was on a extra Media PC and Shop PC so sell high and buy something better later when a deal pops up. And the 5600 "G" made it possible with that flexibility. I hardly game out in the shop but is nice from time to time and that GTX1080 fits and matches the shop PC great. Plus the 1080 makes for a great back up card for one of the PC's in the house.

Nah mate, it's not a leftover from mobile CPU. It's a completely new chip which happen to be harvested from the same wafer of 5800HS.

I would not buy any current APU. If I were going to buy one, just buy a laptop for now and wait for the next generation which is going to use RDNA 2 and get rid of the crappy Vega graphics. So if you can wait a few months for the 6000 series Rembrandt APU's I would do that.
@mikesunboxing2 жыл бұрын
yes it will be interesting to see what the next gen of APUs are like

@@mikesunboxing I've been trying to build another desktop for some time, and if they are anything at all like the leaks and reviews so far, I'm getting one and Nvidia can keep their $2k cards.
@perkristoffersson41532 жыл бұрын
Buying a laptop you're paying more to get even somewhat equal performance with no option to add a gpu later. Of course, the current APU's only support pci-e 3.0 but so far that doesn't seem like a huge problem
@davidulmer97742 жыл бұрын
@@perkristoffersson4153 Actually a decent laptop now cost less than just a video card does. A decent video card now will cost you about that much alone. I paid $1200 for an MSI with a i7 10750H and RTX 3060. Sure it's not much better than my old 2060 desktop, but I can't exactly carry around a desktop and monitor with me when I travel. But were not talking about video cards, we're talking about APU's. If you're buying an APU, either you're buying it for a small form factor so it's portable, you're not worried about video intensive programs or games, or you just don't know any better. As I said, current APU's are crap for anything with graphics and while not bad cpu wise, it's hard to justify buying a current one unless you're on an extreme budget.

If AMD doesn't have anything against Intel 12th gen for 2022 Then they should decrease there current ZEN3 CPUs prices
@bauer91013 жыл бұрын
As long as Zen 3 keeps selling unfortunately AMD may just keep prices high.

with the shortages and expected crisis in the next few weeks there is no reason to and retailers will want to cash in after the losses through the last year
