0:45 so would you need a monitor that can hold over 550 fps?

If you only want full picture refreshes, yes. You can also get partial, where the new frame and the old frame gets shown at the same time, split at the update time. Thats what causes tearing (google it if you dont know) which v-sync fixes. Some people can "feel" or dont want the extra input lag it causes, so they dont want to use vsync. At these frames, its almost impossible to see tearing, because its only off by a pixel or two, and if your monitor is also at or above 144hz its nigh invisible. So if you have a 144hz monitor, and run 500 fps, you will have segments of 3-4 different frames shown at any time.

Not on CS2. It's because it's poor data. You need to run the same test 10-15 times with each CPU on each game, and then look at average.
