My parents got a new AMD pc 2 days ago since my old one was getting a bit old and powerless. I am an old subscriber of yours, and I love the top-quility and straight-forward content you post on your channel regarding this topic. When I downloaded the AMD software and fine-tuned my overclocking settings, I saw about 5-15 fps difference from not overclocking at all. Hey, thanks for the guide, I downloaded the latest Ryzen Master app but I dont see the top green bar with "eco mode/default/precision boost overdrive/auto overclocking". Do you know whats the issue? I also dont see any option to have the software in basic view, its only in advanced for me

Same here. I only see the "advanced view" and not the "simple view" when i open the app... I usually just go to the "game mode" tab and click "apply and test" just to be safe and jot damage my CPU. I was too nervous to really mess with the game mode setings lol

Maybe you shouldn't overclock your gpu of its new because it can reduce your gpu life and the heating gets a little bit more and for the fan speed there is actually a software even tho I forgot the name but you can find it somewhere on youtube

You wont see a performance difference from higher fan speeds if you're not thermal throtling. You can change your fan speeds in your bios settings.

Undervolt the gpu & you will get likely adopt a minor decrease in clockspeed, but in return you will drop gpu temp by 5-10 degrees Celsius & improve stability, key for Ryzen gpu’s

​@teodorkrasimirov940, you have to do it on ryzen master first, so if your cpu overheats, it crashes instead of breaking. Then when you get stable performance you move the values to bios.

Great video, but how would you use ryzen master if you wanted to overclock the 7800x3d or would you need to go into the bios to be able to overclock it? As it seems limited to 5050 mhz.

@@dame666999 check out buildzoid's channel. Google or KZbin search. Short answer: OCing the 7800X3D is not worth the hassle. Too convoluted with little to no real life gains. Too many headaches for all that time (hrs upon hrs) to try OC the 7800X3D. Just enable PBO with maybe some curve optimizer optimized settings. Get some good RAM kit to go with it, that alone might boost your PC performance. Especially now that the bios supports high speed RAMs.

Game Mode is only to be used for older games that can’t handle more than 8 cores. Do NOT use game mode unless you need to. It’s very clear in the instructions…
