I have applied the same settings for 7970x and achieved 73540 points at CB23. Moreover, I have got 4% MT performance increase comparing to PBO approach and CPU temperature has reduced ~10C. Literally amazing! Many thanks!

@@mrnotsoceleverThank you. So probably no chance with some standard cooler (like NH-U14S TR5-SP6) where temperature will be the limiting factor, with the PBO enabled they hit 95 very fast.

@@TheMcroth Air cooling will not be sufficient to chill the TR 79xx for overlocking. My workload is based on MT performance (doing render). Therefore PBO method didn’t make sense for me. PBO is required for gaming etc. I don’t play games on this system that require ST performance. My 7970x running all cores at 5.2Ghz and has 70-75C average temp under the load now. It used to be 85-88C when I set to PBO at 4.9Ghz-5.7Ghz (2 Cores). Moreover, I was getting 4% lower performance for MT workload.

Great video. I have the Asus sage wifi trx 50 board with kingston 6400 ddr. Yet no Expo activated because iam nervous about voltages (Am5 desaster). Can you cover expo on the Asus motherboard in a video? It seems iam not the only one not trusting Asus on the boards setting when you activate expo. Seems others hold back too (lvl1 forum)

I have the Asus TRX50 and a 7960X. I'm using Kingston fury pro DDR5 6000 and I have expo and PBO enabled. Runs perfectly fine. No stability issues.

I think there is basically no more performance gain past 6000mhz on the current Zen 4 architecture though. I'm not an expert in memory but you could probably set it to 6000 and tighten timings, that would make a difference. However if you just want it to work, enable expo and it will

why the 13/14900K/S is fake 24, E-Core crap :D and 24/32. The TR hast 24/48 and 128MB L3, so it makes no sense the Intel is to lame, the GHz not helps him.
