RZR 1000 Rough Low Idle Cutting Out Power Loss Stumbling Check Engine Light Injector Plugs Harness

This video describes a common problem with the connectors on the injectors on the RZR 1000 900 and Turbo. The symptoms are intermittent power loss, rough idle, engine Cutting Out, check engine light will turn on and off. Had these same issues on a 2013 Ranger XP 800 Mid-Size. Made a trip to AutoZone and spliced in the new connector. I also installed new spark plugs (the plug under the bad connector was dead) and the engine is back to normal! Thanks for the video!

Thanks for this video. My 2015 RZR 900 has this issue. It would lose power while trail riding, the idle sound rough too then it will shutoff. I would sit for a few minute then the RZR will start as normal but still get this loss of power. Thanks for the tip of where to buy them injectors. Yeah Polaris products are always expensive.

Thanks for the video and guidance. My RZR is the same year as your, it even look like the same one you have. It was hesitating and loosing power when the check engine light was coming on. And te thing is that it just started doing that 2 days ago. I have the weekend all planned with the whole family at the dunes in Moses Lake WA, we ain’t leaving till the afternoon it sure gives me time to go to the auto zone ad buy the parts needed to do the repair and enjoy the weekend with the fam. I got an issue with my 2019 rzr turbo xp4 it's losing power at mid to high rpm idle seems fine. currently running evo stage 4 tune 95 octane adjusted wastegate with big injectors, evo charge tube with b/o valve , evo intake system. Think it could be fuel related or injector pigtails??

Have you got only problems with the fuel pump?? I have a 2020 rzr Turbo s velocity with the code 66028 and something it’s good but sometimes it has the check engine light on

ok my 2015 sportsman 1000 with 1150mi had been sitting a couple years prior to me buying it. i changed all the fluids, filters, plugs and wires. sucked out the regular unleaded and filled it with 91 with some Marvel Mystery Oil. took it for a ride on dirt roads and burnt half my fuel in about 40mi or less doing 40-55mph avg. idles a bit crappy with a bit of an occasional misfire. not at all what id describe as butter smooth idling even my carbureted KLR650 idles better than this . no codes when i check diagnostics. can injectors get gummed up from sitting? it sounds and runs decent at speed. former owner down the street says he used to get about 150mi out of 3/4 tank of fuel. im stumped.

Did you do some wheeling in the water or anythng? 284 on RzR forum are talking about throttle body control also being wet. Im gonna guess its prob wet if you were in water. Good luck bro..

I am also having this problem. Sometimes it starts up and dies with no check engine light. I jave a 2014 xp1000 i believed it was the fuel pump at first but it only does it Sometimes. My wife washed the rig real quick and went for a test drive and it stalled 3 times just going around the block pointing me to the direction of an electrical problem since water made it a factor to stall more often.

Friend of mine has the same issue once it gets up to operating temp and comes to a stop or very slow speeds it stalls. Sometimes it starts right up other times it starts hard. Did this solve your problem?

I have a 2017 Rzr 1000 S. Its idling really rough and low. Also check engine light is on and throwing 2 codes, 65590 and 65592. Barely wants to start and run. When trying to drive it, it sputters and shuts off. Is this possibly the same issue I'm having or any ideas on what is happening?

I did some researching and I'm mostly getting that my ecu needs reflashed. There's a safety program in the ecu, to where if it detects the smallest belt slippage or engine missfire, it will throw your rzr in limp mode. Basically the sensitivity in that program is turned all the way up from factory. I guess it needs reflashed and the sensitivity turned down.

@@OsuBux614 Did the reflash work for you? Mine it did not. I reflashed mine and I have new issues now. My turbo is smoking (from the turbo, not the tailpipe). I want to check if this wire trick works. The reflash did not work for me.

I have a xp1000 4dr 2014 whitelightning and when im going 60+ mph on it the engine seems like it cuts in and out for a split second.only happends when going 50+ , i sometimes spam the gas to keep going,sometime it goes sometimes it takes a while for it to accelerate, is this video related to my problem

601ishome I would say possible but highly unlikely. Usually you just get the problem on one side which allows it to still run. It will run rough because one cylinder is firing intermittently.

I’ve been fighting with code 65590/65592. Rough idle before I get the engine light one. Machine has no power at all, can you please go to my KZbin channel and see the shoe I uploaded so you can see how it changes the idle sound? I’ve replaced belt, primary clutch, clean injectors, replaced fuel pump and still nothing, sometimes it will do it just standing idle, sometimes will do it while running, and sometimes it won’t do it so I’m totally lost. HELP

Tyler Barrett most likely not. It appears some people have replaced the fuel pump or fuel pump O-ring to clear the 520344-17 code. Not sure if that is your problem but do some forum research on this code and see what it reveals.
