+LeonardMeltsner Thank you! Sburban Jungle I did use headphones (for metronome) and sheet music so I could keep the two parts together. But this had neither; by the time I know these solidly enough to record them, they're generally memorized.

I've thought about both of those. I'd like to do Olive Rogue with a bari sax player; not sure whether that will work out, but it would make a good arrangement. And yeah, when I hear Killed by Br8k Spider, I always think it would be a good arrangement, and then I realize it would be substantial stretches of fast music, which may well be out of my level to pull off. Maybe someday. Or maybe someday a better pianist will take it on.

Shoot, when I saw A-C-A-G I was all "no it can't be... not my FAVOURITE SONG..." then I checked your channel and wham, Heir of Grief! Owen Danielson Thanks - I'm glad you like my choices for covering. Homestuck gives a lot of very good music to cover (although some of it, while excellent, doesn't lend itself to a piano arrangement, which is why I haven't done any arrangements from One Year Older,).

A thought: Have you ever considered doing something from One Year Older? I know a few - Flying Car and October, mainly - are already piano pieces, but it'd be fascinating to see your take on them.

I've thought about One Year Older many times; it's one of my favorite Homestuck albums. Unfortunately, most of it isn't conducive to arranging - either it's already solo piano (in which case I wouldn't be arranging so much as just...playing a piano piece, and there's no reason for anyone to listen to me play exactly the same thing as the original). And the rest is often a full piano part plus other parts, which tends to be more than I can play on solo piano. So...hopefully. I will do an arrangement of one of Jit's pieces at some point. He deserves that much for the quality and quantity of Homestuck music he's done. But it may not be from One Year Older unless I figure something out (which has happened before).

+Natasha Jones The fandom may not have quite so many people making things, but there are definitely still some good ones (That Warriors lyricstuck that came out recently is one of my favorite lyricstucks I've seen, Papers is working on an animation, and I'm sure when the Omegapause ends, there'll be a lot of new fanart of various forms created about whatever happens). And I don't intend to stop anytime soon; at the very *least*, I have another year of arrangements I'd like to do (hopefully continuing the one-every-two-months-schedule).

+Lysandra Captor Without shoes is definitely easier. The lack of socks was more to do with the fact that I get warm while recording, and this was recorded over the summer. But yea, the fewer intermediate layers, the better I can feel/control the pedal.

Oh yes, I missed hearing your piano covers of Homestuck music... I absolutely love this one as well! It helps, too, that I've been listening to nothing but music from the albums lately. It's all so unique and beautiful. I'm discovering the different pieces that were combined to make Cascade. It always amazes me. Anyway, wonderful job, yet again. Every time I listen to one of your piano covers, even if it was a track that I didn't necessarily enjoy, I find a new-found appreciation for the piece. Thank you!

As always, great choice, and great performance. How many takes do you do on these things? Are there dozens of swearing-filled outtakes floating around on your computer?

+sheavsey There are a lot of takes. Particularly on this one, because it was so long. I think these normally take about two hours of recording to get a good take, although this one was...more like five, maybe? It was difficult, due to its length. There are a lot of takes that stop early when I make an unacceptable mistake, and a few where I make it to the end, but decide they had too many mistakes, or I make a mistake only at the very end. I delete the recordings I don't use off the camera without them making it to my computer, so I don't really have outtakes around on here. (And they wouldn't be amusing like voice-acting outtakes; it's just slight variations on me making a mistake and then telling myself or my hands that they were idiots and then stopping the camera).

+Raquel Silveira Thanks! It's going to be hard for me to top this one in scale. While this isn't as hard technically as Moonsetter or Carne Vale, it's long. I think that the only thing (short of whatever might be on the hypothetical Volume 10) that might come out longer would be Eternity Served Cold (I'm not going to do Cascade solo; that would require a couple of string parts along with piano to do justice to)
