2008 Silverado 2500HD Duramax LT crew cab short bed I have a FASS fuel pump and i have installed a sump on the stock tank, also my return line goes in thru the fill neck. So my question is will I need to connect any lines to the sending unit and just plug them ? Would I only be using the fuel guage connection on the sending unit .

On the website it lists for crew cab short bed truck I wanted to check if it fits crew cab long bed trucks? Also it looks like the top of the sending unit is metal and I just wanted to confirm? Thanks

The GM P/N for the 2005 2500 diesel fuel tank is the same as the GM P/N for the 2005 1500/2500 gas fuel tank. Obviously the fuel pump assembly is different, but could the tank be used on one of those trucks?

The S&B tank is deeper than the stock tank. That’s why it comes with a new pick up tube and bucket assembly. The Duramax trucks of this year range do not have a fuel pump in the tank, the CP3 injection pump sucks the fuel from the tank in the same way older engines with mechanical fuel pumps mounted on them did. Unless you can modify the S&B fuel pick up to accept your in tank electric fuel pump, then you’re probably out of luck.

any issues with using a Fleece Performance - PowerFlo In-tank Lift Pump on these S&B tanks, that would be the perfect upgrade I would think.

It will not work with a Fleece because our tank is taller than the OEM

I got a 2003 Suburban 2500 LT which comes with two tanks. I need MORE gallons. Will the pickup one work? I know it is a deeper tank but it should "fit"? I mean I can modify the fuel pump. just wondering.

Will a turnover ball under bed hitch give any problems with fitment? Just want to make sure before we pull the trigger on it.

Mine still fit no issues. Make sure you watch your filler neck as you raise though…. I didn’t and now need to drop and run it again

What about the fuel gauge? Is there a way to recalibrate it for the larger tank?

The tank comes with new sensors. No need to recalibrate anything. New sensor will gauge F, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, E appropriately.

How would this work if I want to run a sump pump with my lift pump?

Idk about the 01-04 but the one for 04.5-10 has a "sump"outlit at the bottom of the tank under the sending unit so you don't have to drill just take out the plug and pipe your Lift pump in.

You skip right over installing the sending unit in the new tank. That isn't covered in the written instructions either. Kind of a serious omission.

I have an 2003 gmc, Where do I get that sending unit connector adapter? Can I use one from a 2005 ?

The sending unit is different between the 2003 and 2005 models. Can’t just use the adaptor to make it work

Like I mentioned in the beginning of the video, please use the install instructions for most up to date instructions. The sending unit was pre installed in the tank when we made this video
