Maurice was SUCH a good actor! I miss this old, complex Sonny. He actually made me feel sympathy. And he was so genuine back then. stupid writers for ruining him. =( I love how Carly instinctively knew to cover up for him. This francis character is totally NOT someone I like. I like all the other body guards, specially Johnny and Max. But F is annoying. thanks for the clips!

If memory serves & I could be wrong here, Juan was beaten up by Moreno's thugs. He was either trying to get a job from them or trying to spy for Sonny and got the crap kicked out of him. Emily went to the hospital with Juan and called Sonny. Monica ripped into Sonny but good. Now he's having a meltdown Sonny style and nobody loses it like Sonny. Carly inadvertently came to his rescue and barely held him together until Jason got home. It was Sonny & Carly's first bonding moment.

this is when the first time saw sonny during some of these sences before hand too i watched this live the best scenes i have ever seen from maurice benard /sonny loved him for ever i also couldnt handle these scenes either they would rip my heart out because i was glued to gh like a calf looking at a new gate with headlights amazing

I agree. Sonny and Carly were not the "hero and heroine" like Luke and Laura. They should had remained secondary characters, not the leads. After Sarah Brown left and Tamara Braun took over the role, GH quickly became "The Sonny and Carly Show". Not a great move by most fans. Myself included.

Though the Sonny-Carly focus got dialed up by that point, it didn’t truly become the S&C show until 2002. By that year, GH really wasn’t as much of an ensemble show anymore.

It’s a disease and he’s portraying it. The pain. It’s from genetics and probably trauma. Study before you say stupid things. Very brave man. Mental,pain comes out different ways
