I recognize some of these from I Love Toy Trains, have those accessories been S Gauge this whole time? I thought they were O Gauge.

@ZillaJr2005 Yep! Some of the S accessories cross pollinate very well in O gauge environments, the barrel loader and crossing gates are prime examples. Log loader can be adapted as well.

So if I'm seeing correctly, in S gauge operating cars are triggered with a third rail pickup shoe on the wheel trucks?

@asteroidrules Yep, there's an outside rail that serves as activation point. Cars have little tabs/pickups that fire when on the track sections.
