Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting the Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari, to meditate between May 30 to June 1, to mark the culmination of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Sources in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said that Prime Minister Modi will arrive at the rock memorial and will be meditating through the day and night at the place, which was also the place where Swami Vivekananda is said to have meditated and was visited by the vision of “Bharat Mata”.

Nothing wrong with praying. Definitely nothing wrong in praying at the Eknath Ranade built iconic Rock Memorial . But would be better to take all team, opposition, etc and do a satsang not a single person photo op during elections. My opinion is Religion and spirituality is personal not public, but if done in public it should be satsang version like Savarkar and Gandhiji did, not Photo-Op version. The rock memorial was a unity and awakening symbol and that sanctity is best accorded by show of unity!!
