Broly had a lot of space to work with, as we now he's a huge guy, but when it comes to Beerus or any other characters with the same pants, there's not alot of room to work with, the pants would be widened and limit articulation in some ways.

I agree s.h. Figuarts is a good brand that I've been buying from a long time and I've seen there limitations and they can defiantly fix something as small as a knee joint maybe they screwed up that part of the mold and didn't have the time or money to fix it

I had to return my awakening goku to Barnes and noble due to the arm being really loose so I bought lord beerus and it's better than awakening goku but that's my opinion

Must be a manufacturing mistake for the tail. I got my beerus at comic con, his tail clips in just fine, I'd usually have to tug it out. And wouldn't the stick pegs break as well if not careful enough?

Great figure but you didn't show the range of head movement. Showing how its put together and what hinges and ball pegs it has is nice but please show the up down tilt ect. if you don't mind. You do it enough though so no biggie great review of an what j think is an awesome figure! Thanks can't wait to own it

Yeah I won't buy any of the non 2.0 for the prices they fluctuate at and the knees really kill it for me on beerus. I aim to just find a way to get custom figures of an older trunks with his regular pants and tank top and dbs manga version of gohan and then like I'll get ssj for everyone in the most similar shades. (Just need goku and vegeta and the other version of demonical trunks hair that isn't clear)

You are right, the knee joint on Beerus pretty much IS unfinished. SSJ4 Goku has the same leg design but they have updated the knees to have a large ball hinge instead, looks better, not perfect but better.

I love Beerus. He's my favorite Dragon Ball character since Super came out. 😁 SH Figuarts is one of my favorite brands save for that ball joint in the neck and the knees. They need to change or update that. Play Arts Kai has done so and they're getting better and better but Figuarts hasn't changed much if at all.

Ok, so I wanna get both Beerus and Golden Frieza while the prices are relatively the same as they were upon release (Frieza is my favorite character ever btw) But at this moment I can get only one... Which one do you suggest? Because I'm planning to buy Frieza first since he was released earlier than Beerus... I want to hear your opinion, since I'm kinda new to S.H.Figuarts figures and don't fully know how the prices work :/

pulling the head off and on just to get side to side movement is going to wear the joint down over time. theres a better way to do that, ok turn the head facing the left or right shoulder, then tilt the head all the way back as far as the joint will allow, then pan the neck around to either shoulder and once you have the neck to either shoulder, tilt the neck sideways back in place, and there you have it, you don't have to pop off the head at all and have side to side swivel with ease.

I find stupid they actually sculpted the part on the shoulder instead of a solid piece for the chest, the shoulder joint is actually way down from that and they wouldn't sacrifice the sculpt.. That's just my opinion

Dano's Customs Yea I'm sure they tried that maybe if it was one large wrap around part it would flap forward leaving spaces underneath looking horrible. Or a cost thing since if they kept the chest the way it is but them orchestrated it so it had shoulder flaps as secondary pieces it could I'd brought the cost up too high or other unforeseen by us problems that probably existed. I do know if they had done it to look good I would agree it may look better and function better too probably. Oh well. Then again I don't mind the knee joints either ;)

Christopher Leusner I bet its a license thing or a Patton thing. Not everything is about how good it works sometimes companys have to have certain ways they do it written on the licensing part. Or just ShFiguarts in general. I'm sure in time it will change. They already started changing their hip format but I'm.guessing it was a newer Patton that got them to do it. Its why you hear things like "our eyeball system" that way no one can knock off legally what they are doing. That's my guess

+kyo717 Originally, Birusu/Beerus was named after the word Virus. I guess the designer already picked the original name, but Akira Toriyama mistakenly thought it was named after the alcoholic beverage thus, gave the dub name accordingly; Birusu > Beerus (Beer) and gave Uisu > Whis(key). From there on, every God's name is a pun on alcohol such as Champa(gne). So technically, yeah... for the *Dub side*, they're puns on alcoholic beverages.

Birusu is spelled in katakana, which is used to spell foreign words such as beer. Other gods are named after alcohol too such as Whis (short for Whiskey), Champa (Champange) and Valdos (Calvados).
