What makes this figure enticing is the face plates. That classic Goku smile when he's about to go up against a strong opponent is what makes this figure stand out. Also, I think this is a good manga color-like base for Goku. The less saturated colors look nice. I feel like it'll match Krillin 2.0 gi colors

@@joelstellwag5840 looking at Krillin 2.0, his gi color is a bit more saturated and a deeper orange. But they've always had varying hues of orange. I think the only time they matched was in DragonBall.

@@duncanohoge 1.0 Goku and the SDCC Frieza Saga version are excellent figures and do come with a great variety of faces. You have your stern forward face, side glance charging face, scared face, smiling face, and then the extra teeth grit face with the SDCC is *chef's kiss*

Why wouldn't they give this super hero goku the 3.0 articulations like the new krillin and the new ultimate gohan is beyond me. This would have easily been an easy purchase for a lot of people on the fence between ASROE goku and this super hero goku 🤦‍♂️

Depends what style your looking for. super hero has better face sculpts. The only different is the upper body v - cut the belt and colors

Not a big fan of the skin but these faces are superb it's really hard to pick I still like the 1.0 Goku faces can't wait for vegeta and gohan

Excellent review man! Like many are saying, the faces alone almost make me want to get this release. I'm really hoping as well that we get that SSJ2 Goku Tamashii Nations teased a while back on the 3.0 Goku mold, the articulation/sculpt is so much better. Excited for the DBS: Superhero Vegeta release and especially that Gohan release. As always, stay safe and take care of yourself bro :)

I thought it was on the 3.0 so I was really excited to get it but the faces make up for it, and I agree that the 1.0 is still the best. I use that head and faces for all my dbz displays.

Faces aside obviously, I still prefer the brighter SROE colors myself, a real shame the skin tones are too different for face swaps, but it's movie accurate at least.

There is no 3.0 body what the ssj4 goku has are just the same parts from android 21 and majin buus knee joints and what the bigger characters have for butterfly joints just smaller theres no new parts

Personally I'm not interested in this release. Cause Saiyan raised on earth is my favorite. I'm getting the Vegeta tho because he fits very well as a Z Buu saga Vegeta.

After years of looking for sh Figuarts DBZ SSJ3 Goku I finally found one and only paid retail price. My Goku collection is complete. Great review however I don’t see the point in getting another Goku figure.

Eh the only thing that Prevented me for Purchasing this figure is that there’s no 3.o articulation what so over you would think that they would consider adding the 3.0 articulation scheme to this fig after they already did so with the krillen and ssj4 goku so I don’t get it Tamashi Still getting that vegeta and gohan tho

I think the most similar figure is the 2.0 Goku blue, rather than the full power Saiyan. cause it has the same belt, kanji and deeper V cut in the GI

5:04 my fp ss goku has a completely loose left legs and both legs pop off extremely easily, straight out of the box had those problems

To me the 3.0 base son Goku is only accurate on dragon ball super heroes even tho I’m kinda disappointed that they used the different skin which is understandable but all of the Goku heads on super heroes base Goku body doesn’t match so if I get him I’m gonna keep him like this without swapping heads but he looks accurate to the movie and I don’t think it is better than 2.0 base Goku btw good review hopefully you get super hero vegeta

The legs on mine are slightly loose, which surprised me, because I have many 2.0 gokus and have always had stiff leg joints. (Ball peg rotation part is what is loose). Still really enjoy this figure! Great review bro!

Yeah, I’ve heard that from a few others as well. I think the mold is starting to wear out a bit but still, a lot of fun. Hopefully you can somehow tighten that joint. Appreciate the comment mate!

My copy’s leg joints were also loose and so was his arm it would fall off all the time then he fell and his head snapped like a day before I was going to return it
