For those wondering why the SHMA evo is priced the way it is, and not the $80-$90 it is in japan, there’s a couple factors at play It’s web exclusive- one production run, no reissues, made to order, already harder to stock then standard releases Importing fees- the cost for companies like blue fin, bbts, and amazon to have stock it’s fairly expensive due to current economic states in Japan and US Stores own profit- stores tend to add a bit extra to the price so they’re able to make a profit on figure sells All these things(plus some extra) factor into inflating that price, unfortunate but that’s the reality of it. It looks good but hard to justify that $130-$150 usd price tag

Honestly, yeah its ok, but for that price it should at least have a beam effect and even then it's expensive as hell. Also, I've lost count of the times where SH throws a prototype or some early version for reviewers that later gets a retail version that is inferior due to lack of paint, messed up sculpture, not to mention the QC issues which is something I need to see several reviews of a SH figure to see if the figure comes with issues like I saw with the FW Goji due to the amount of shilling behind SH. Also the only strong point in SH that is articulation is compromised on the neck here which is not a good sign. Sorry if I'm sounding a bit suspicious of SH but they have done all kind of efforts to lose my trust. Hiya on the other side has shown the willingness to improve their figures based on costumer feedback, if SH did that for this one it is only because everyone was dumping on them because Hiya was doing it, Hiya figures are bigger, have better paint and less QC issues, their only issues is the lack of articulation that they showed that they are trying to improve and the later versions with improvements or extras which is why I won't go for the first version and I'll wait for the inevitable atomic version with the beam effect, all of this for a fraction of the price of SH. So I'll just wait for both to come out and evaluate them, unless Hiya is a turd I'll almost certainly go for it due to the price difference, but I'll go for a later version of Hiya because their Ghidorah taught me a lesson.

Anyone know why the figures for GXK release so late? Like, I know they take time but why would legendary be hesitant to show their models early on? I just mean how by the time Skar, Shimo and such release, a lot of that GXK hype is gone. I’m sure they would have sold more had they been released closer to the movie

We can’t be too confident in Bandai yet. The figure that IsaacWong posted is probably a really late production sample or early final release. The actual mass production phase will show is if Bandai will care or not to keep the quality control good or not

Bandai actually didn’t completely mess up to my surprise. Still this figure has issues. Paint is going to be sloppy in areas like the eyes and teeth, his knees appear to be weak or buckling(?), the scale is horrendous, and we don’t even know if it falls apart straight out of the box yet. I expect much sloppier QC when mass production hits. Hiya is already releasing a bigger, more accurate, and more articulated figure. Buying this one is a serious waste of an extra $80.

I don't hate Sh MA as well, I just prefer Hiya. Yes SH has more articulation but Hiya is more screen/suit accurate, but the one thing that made me like SH less is the prices

Actually, for what I could tell that they’ve done at least a lot better with their Evolved Godzilla when it comes to some paint-job and articulation systems though, but regarding the price tag, I would rather wait for the Hiya Toys release of their own Evolved Godzilla since the details of the paint-app and sculpture modeling alongside the updated articulation systems is definitely title as “top-tier” collectible item for a much lesser and affordable price. On the other hand, I’m still waiting for Hiya Toys to eventually release Final Wars Godzilla much sooner than expected as you and others mainly agreed from the last comment if I remember correctly, because of an Q/A interview article with Toho Kingdom as many new monsters are coming for the Hiya Toys line since they’re both doing classic and modern monsters without any difficulties, as well as GMK Godzilla and Godzilla 2000 since they’re both Millennium Godzillas joining up the Hiya Toys lineup altogether, meaning it’s some sort of continuation.

I believe the articulation is very good and I don't just hate SHMonsterarts for no reason, I like the Mechagodzillas, Minus One, Showa, Heisei figures, and more. But this figure just looks absolutely disgusting like it even has green poop stains on its body. It looks like a bootleg of an actual good figure. Monsterarts fumbles monsterverse heavily but besides that they do very good usually.
