As someone who has the fourth night combat version (or the translucent one to be simple) I can say it looks so good! It is so much better then the normal one, here the reds don’t looks messy but actually fill in the cracks and the blacks aren’t glossy but well controlled chaos. I don’t keep it in front of a light but when a light is behind it Shin lights up brilliantly. It’s fantastic.

It's a black base with airbrushed highlights and a crap load of good old dry-brushing. Simple, but gets the frozen vibe across; I can see why you're into it. That tail... really cool to have that creepy mystery so nicely executed.

One thing I wish SHMA did for the Night Combat Shin Godzilla is include the bunker buster bombers that bombed his back. That would’ve been such a neat inclusion. As well as a great way to get people to buy it, since that would’ve been the only version to come with the bunker buster bombers

Love this mold and the MUSIC choice for this video. Love the Metroid vibes! I got the 4th night combat version while I was over in Japan. They made the mold transparent and then drybrushed on the black paint, so it REALLY captures that color scheme the well. And when it gets some good lighting behind it? Just some wicked work by SHMA. It's become my personal stand in, replacing my original release that was spared from the scarlet neck. Having it in hand, I gotta reccomend it as a screen accurate Shin. The ORTHO is definitely tempting too tho 👀

SHMa Shin Goji probably one of my favorite, at least after night combat. That semi-transluscent look and the more solid joints wins me over. But I guess I'll still wait for Hiya. The deal breaker to me gotta be the size. Shin is slightly shorter than MV, but man SHMa made it like their biggest Goji figure ever. Sometimes I don't really get how they decided the size. Ultima is one of the more smaller Goji but the figure is so massive. Despite its super long tail and overall mass would be benefitted by a smaller size. Meanwhile MV is one of the smaller Goji figure by them (aside from Jr. and Shin's 2 other form), despite being one of the bigger bois in-universe. I just hope Hiya will make one around Neca size. They could milk the damn thing, but please make the sizing consistent when it's still possible (by that I meant where the average height of the different era still the same). I'll buy them day one

I've always wondered what the point of an articulated figure of a character that's literally frozen is. Well, at least it doesn't look bad and has those "people" on the end of its tail (I wonder if there was a sequel to Shin Godzilla, would they make their own rumbling version). In fact, all versions look better than the original (especially the atomic breath version). Although for me the definitive version of Shin Godzilla from SH is the Night Combat version (not at all because it's the only Shin Godzilla from SH I have... Ok, that's why)
