Great point! Marxism is not ideology, it is an economic theory. On the other hand I wouldn’t go too far as to say; there is no , will never be a better party than EPRP. For developing countries, we need a new order of hybrid economic system composed of capitalism and some socialism .

I doubt it there were 18000 Ethiopian students. As far I remember close to 400 scholarship were given yearly. Anyone working at higher education commission back then may know .

Yeah, there is nothing wrong with talking about a story you have known in depth and have historical evidence and human references. As there are people who are asking why you talk about EPRP's historical facts a lot, let it be known there are a lot of us scattered here and there who are relating to the historical facts being told. I am sure who watched this program and watched the series have gone back to that painful nostalgic zone. Keep it up. Ethiopia lost the most valuable young generation of the time.

Ethiopian communists were hired spies and fools. They ran to Sudan and Somalia to wage war against their own country. Both Sudan and Somalia were worse than Ethiopia politically, economically, and socially. Both countries were not communist countries and abhored communism, but provided support to Ethiopian communist guerillas to do harm to Ethiopia. Their reason of the support is to destabilize Ethiopia, and they did it using the citizens of Ethiopia. Shockingly, many Ethiopians were not able to understand that directly as by TPLF and by implication by EPRP, the war was against Amhara people. The struggle of Fanos is to abolish the narratives of the communists and the political system established by TPLF.
