I'm so excited to see you do a video on the Chinese Bamboo Rat Snake! This is one of my long term goal snakes to keep, and it's awesome to see the information that you've gathered. Also, the snake in the video is absolutely stunning.

I have this species and also a mandarin rat snake. In the winter I have them on the bottom level of my snack rack or the temperatures are less and I do not have heat on them at all. in the summer I move their cages over closer to the air conditioning vent. I find the temperature gun very handy when I take care of these snakes

Great video, great info!! I just picked up a pair of these and they are definetly out of my realm of breeding ball pythons. But knowledge comes with research for sure 👍👍. Btw subbed you and will be checking out your channel for sure.

Nice one Brad, these will open up a whole new way of maintaining a species. Where instead of wathcing for 92f basking spots you are desperate for them not to exceed 80f

Do you keep Candoia aspera? If so could you do a video about them?
