@Premrat Fakkaenchan, I think he just adapted the recipe for Thai taste. I live in California. Hispanic cooks here can’t stand fish sauce, so they use soy sauce in Thai foods, including papaya salad (Som-Tum), Glass noodle salad (Yum Woon Sen), and Tom Yum Kung. Many years ago, I ordered papaya salad at Thai restaurant in downtown LA. The Viet cook put soy sauce in papaya salad. I couldn’t eat it and complained to the owner, which were also a Viet. The owner told me that was original papaya salad. I looked at her and started speaking Thai. She was mad and couldn’t replied back (because she didn’t know what I was saying) 😂
