I was thinking of ideas for retooling an Alphamon deck post-DoruGreymon's ban, and I had a very similar idea in making Grademon the central level 5. Alphamon specifically is already the main boss monster, and giving more focus on Grademon would come in handy since you can immediately search out an Alphamon and put a card in its evolution sources, and both it and Ouryumon combo really well together when under Alphamon as inheritables since Grademon can delete a smaller mon off the board after an attack lands. I'm glad to see others are giving Grademon some much needed love.

Well made and explained deck as always, great work! The Alphamon in BT13 would get an X antibody or Royal Knights card in the trash and put it in the bottom of its digivolution line when it's being hard cast or from digivolving. Once per turn, when this Alphamon would leave play, we can tuck said bottom most card (with X antibody or RK trait) to the bottom of our deck to negate that removal effect. It's quite an awesome boss digimon with protection.

Personally have still been maining the deck since the hit and I'd really suggest maxing out Yuji, as well as replacing the set of Suna with 2 Zubagon, a second Breath, and another option (I Personally opt for 2 X-Antibody, but may go back to 1-2 BMB) I really wanted Suna to work but it just feels horrible to miss early, reduces overall consistency, and Zubagon gives your Ouryuken the works regardless, as well as on demand. Also at the worst if you're stuck on vanilla Alpha, it helps beef you up to not die to other security megas. Double Breath is also super useful for those bounce matchups and I swear by 2 copies. I personally wouldn't change anything aside from those, the argument can be made for a BT6 Alpha but I'm always iffy on him. I've been seeing a lot of success at locals even after the hit, and I'm really glad because I almost completely quit the game because of it. Glad to see others haven't given up on him either but it makes me worried they'll hit the deck again out of spite lol.

I've been trying this deck out for a while now and I'm feeling like we need a few more Lv 5s? It may just be me being severely unlucky or bad at shuffling but I keep getting gated by the lack of Grademon.

Thanks for sharing the video! This is really really helpfull for alphaplayers like me after dorugreymon got banned :D. I do have a question about [X Antibody] after seeing the video. Since [X Antibody] allowed the digimon digivolove when attacking, could this effect allowed my Grademon digivolve into Alphamon and then digivolve into Alphamon Ouryuken during one single attack?

Out of curiosity, why not run ginryumon as a 2 of? I haven't had much time with the deck, but having a massive blocker is pretty strong in quite a few matchups

I tried it out before and Ginryumon is great if you are trying to go for a more control and tool box style. It would also pair up nicely with Hisyaryumon too, but I much rather focus on the aggressive approach for this particular build.
