amazing vid. I love it when you can actually SEE the bullet in flight. it gives you a perspective as to how fast they move. question: does recoil happen before the projectile exits the barrel.

I have one of these guns and from my experience it is a great gun a bit wide couple hundred rounds and you are pretty much use to it. i paid like 325 or something like that from centerfire systems last i knew they still had like 20 left. the one i got says california state parks on the side. and also says Pro 195 on the frame,slide,barrell. nice gun and if you run out of ammo a few thumps with this and they would be out. Quite the " TANK" of guns .thumbs up !!!

Nice gun but I dont think thats the tactical version? I carried that model a few years ago and I now carry the tactical vesion with the picatinney rail and different sights. I even made a video of the new tactical model if you want to see what I mean. The prices are pretty awesome for these old steel beasts though.

@bodydrop24 Hogue grips are great on mine , those factory plastic grips are collecting dust , first thing i did was put the grips on it, makes it a bit wider but i am ok with it now

Great video, and awesome firearm. I really think Smith and Wesson should redirect their focus back on these models of handguns. My model 915 is in perfect condition and is a great shooter. I also own a S&W model 10-8 revolver that is incredibly accurate and smooth to fire (old police trade in).

The recoil at 1:14 looks super light for a .40 gun, but I guess it would have to be when the dang thing weighs 37 ounces! How does it compare to a lighter piece, like a Glock 22 or XD 40?

Just bought mine yesterday and it's sitting in jail. $500 got me 4 mags, Hogue grips, and an all steel gun with adjustable sights and a dead reliable history. Glock can't touch that.

Bob Burnitt Glocks are great, but third generation Smiths are better. I also hold that opinion. Built like TANKS. They should have never stopped making them.

Scott Kenneth Glocks are OK if you like them. They are certainly fine weapons, they could not be as successful as they are if they weren't, but I like these Pistols better for ME. I like having the EXTERNAL De-Cock, Safety, and a EXPOSED HAMMER etc. I like the pistol being made of METAL and the FEEL of these pistols better. BB

I’ve got a 4013 tactical Smith & Wesson. I took the slide off. I removed the barrel and the guide rod .Then I put the slide back on without the barrel and the guide rod. Now I can’t take the slide off. Can anyone help?

I just placed an order on a S&W 4006 TSW (Tactical Smith and Wesson) that is a California Highway Patrol (CHP) trade-in. It's on back order right now since it's currently out of stock. But CHP is actively phasing out of the 4006 and going with a polymer frames and higher capacity handgun
