Love this little .380. I also have the safety model. It was insanely rigid when I got it. I put a drop of oil on each side and actuated the safety throughout the day like a fidget toy. A few days later it’s smooth and you can flip it off and on easily with your thumb.

Thanks for the video. I purchased the S&W BG2.0 (NTS) version just because that’s what my LGS had. So far no issues with any type of ammo, the only one I haven’t tried is the Underwood, just because I can’t find it. I carry it in a IWB PhLster holster and in a Mika’s pocket holster, and yes a round in the chamber. I have been in a position where I had to draw my weapon and it got stuck in a holster that I did countless draws from I believe it was from the weapon light, and good thing I had my shockwave under my back seat because maybe I wouldn’t be here now, and thank goodness the rack of the SW made all 3 run. Moving forward I can’t imagine running on an empty chamber and with everything going on at the moment you (just in general) hear click.

I own an original Bodyguard with the manual safety, and I wish it didn't have one because with close to a 12 pound, hammer fired, double action only trigger pull, it isn't really necessary. It's just very, very hard to accidentally fire it, and that alone is safe enough for me. But with this new striker fired rig and it's 3.5 to 4 pound trigger pull, I don't know if I would feel as comfortable carrying it in my pocket with one in the chamber, and no safety. With this greatly improved trigger, "Glock Leg" becomes a real concern when drawing the gun under stress.

This is the 3rd or 4th review I have seen where the sights were off--POI to the left of POA. It seems that S&W has an issue with sight installation/alignment manufacturing process. Hopefully they will get the issue resolve quickly. I won't be pocket carrying my Ruger LCP Max within a few weeks once the weather cools so I will switch back to a 9mm handgun until next summer when I may buy the Bodyguard 2.0. Any issues should be resolved by then and maybe S&W will offer a $50 rebate or rebate for free mags by that time.

The guy will not take flat ammo Will not take Underwood extremes. You have to polish to feed ramp, and some of them have a little left on the bottom feed ramp top part have to grind that off. I did all of that and it cycles fine Now front sight needed drifted in spring recoil gets jammed up. You have to take the front of the Spring tuck it in off the guide rod to get it to compress 12 round magazine, hard to get the ammunition in. After you do all that seems to shoot pretty good they should have made the gun better with quality control that’s for sure

My BG 2.0 performs the same, but with continued practice the accuracy gets better. Two things I would change on this BG, first the rear sight needs to be wider and the slot smaller. I snag on the rear sight horns often enough that I put my thumb on it when withdrawing it. Second, I would add ears or wings to the rear of the slide, like they have on the EZ series and the Equalizer. Other than these two things, I really like this pistol.

Either knock the rear sight over to the RIGHT or the front sight to the LEFT. It's not you it's the way the came from the factor because like your groups they are all very tight. The real problem is my sight pusher isn't designed for such a small gun so you have to use a hammer and the factory glued the sights in pretty tight.

I learned from others that using a fingernail file or small knife to remove the sharp edges on the trigger and trigger safety of a LCP can eliminate most of the pinching that causes pain. I still get enough muzzle rise that my trigger finger slips off the end of the trigger and get smashed into the trigger guard. I'll probably get a Bodyguard 2.0 next year, have my wife try it, and then buy another one if my wife takes mine.

Mine grouped well but shot similarly to the left as well. Will need to drift the sight at some point.

I like the hogue rubber slip on grip for my Glock. Might try that on this.

Good looking micro gun for sure. My fear is my hands are so big and my finger will be awful close to the muzzle so that would be something I’d have to be very aware of. I am looking at this gun and also the say P365 380 which I know is a little larger I do believe.

I was in between the safety model or not. Thanks. Guess with this safety being so small I can just not use the safety most of the time, and just use it I special situations.

Value your opinion. My wife liked it also, so we purchased one!

I appreciate that, and take that responsibility seriously. I really like it, and think they did a great job making it better in so many ways. I hope you are both very satisfied with yours!!

Nice video but one thing you didn't touch on Handel on this Smith & Wesson bodyguard 2.0 you can get three fingers on it as opposed to a Glock 42 a Ruger 380 Max where do you need to put a finger extension on the Glock and the Ruger to get three fingers on there which Hickok45 and Scotch oo touched on in their videos
