Sam, check out Talon Grip. You will love the rubberized texture. Only about $20. I have them on several pistols.

I agree, Talon grips worked out very nicely on my Shield 45, with no permanent modification of the gun, just in case you ever want to sell it.

Maybe lightly sanding down that grip would help. You want a lot of practice time on a gun you will use to defend your life. So the more able to shoot the better.

Great review guys. I have been searching for a .45 for my collection. I like the size of the shield. Small for a .45. But fits comfortable in my hand. Both of you shot it well I thought. Love your channel. Keep up the great work!

Thanks, the .45 handles recoil better than you would think from such a small gun.

Awesome video Sam and Robbie! Good to see you both in a vid again. :) Interesting hearing how each of your impressions and shooting experience differed there. Where was Shoot Fast Dad though?

Talon rubber grips. Problem solved. I hated the aggressive factory grip texture on my 45 Shield

Thanks, I'm definitely going to be looking at those talons, they look much more comfortable than the factory texture!

It is a CCW pistol and you really want an aggressive grip texture. Different story if it's going to be a range gun. There are better choices for a .45 A.C.P. range gun like a full size 45. Yes you have still practice but it's not meant to be a range gun.

Great video. The only doubt I have is: A Shield .45 or a snubbie .357?

Very Nice, good buy

Got my new .45 shield today, what was weird was the magazines seemed used and there was grime all over the orange magazine follower, is this something that happened to you as well? Thanks in advance.

High point service lol you gotta be kidding how on earth can it be better than sw cs? Lol! I have a Taurus g2 also but common man high point and Taurus cannot compare to smith and Wesson quality or customer service!

Street price $520? If that's what your local shop charged you, you got robbed. They're around $400 or less everywhere I look. In brick & mortar stores, maybe $450.

I gotta wonder if they got the MSRP and street prices reversed.
