S&W SHIELD Plus Carry Comp vs. SHIELD PC. Both are 4" barrels. I do like both, the carry comp is just a little snappy as if I was shooting a 40 cal. John info@azccwclasses.com 602-490-9523

You can't go wrong with any S&W firearm or Shield for that matter. I haven't shot the comp, but I appreciate your honesty. When I first saw it I thought cool, but that muzzle blast going straight up will be brutal. I like the regular Shield Plus with an optic.

The SHIELD carry comp does have a snappy feel to where you don't want to shoot a lot. I typically go thru 100 to 200 rounds per gun when I do shoot.

Very enjoyable review! I'm in the process of getting used to my +CC. I did not do well with the iron sights to the point I thought they came from the factory way off to the left. I had a professional shooter at the range try it out and he hit 15 rounds in 5 holes, all but two in the bullseye. So, the reality is: "The problem is me!" I have a red dot on it now and will get that zero'd in this weekend. It is a beautiful gun but right now I'm shooting my Equalizer better. Will continue to work with it. I bought a Primary Arms 21mm Micro Reflex sight. Couldn't afford another EPS Carry. Hope it does well.

The Plus carry comp is a good gun. Just a bit snappy, but that is par for a small compact gun. I went to the red dot because my eye sight is diminishing as I get older (can't focus on the front sight like I did in the past). I would say that 80% of shooting issues are shooter induced for the most part. I believe you will be fine.

Maybe a dumb question, but is the Shield Plus 15-round magazine compatible with the FPC? Or vice versa (the 17- or 23-round mags into the pistol)? I have the FPC and am debating getting either the 2.0 comp carry or a Shield Plus. Thanks.
