Great video , thank you! I do have to add to this. When putting the two halves together and they don’t seem to completely connect, check behind the battery door. Behind the battery door it looks like a switch, move it back and this should resolve the problem. Thank you and be safe and vigilant out there

@@AbqDunn I have this light on my m&p shield. Fit and function are amazing. But I will say, the light seems very dim compared to my trl8 on on another piece. I certainly prefer A brighter light. But A light is better than NO light.

The CT laser guard pro is the better option but darn too expensive. Light output is 500 lumens and has a better retention to the gun than TLR6. Instinctive activation is a charm.

Great point Carlos. Keep it in perspective. What are you using the gun for? Do you need to be able to see down the block? I have a TLR6 on my G27. Strictly a home defense weapon. Inside my house, 100 lumens is plenty. If you think you need 500 lumens say for clearing your yard after hearing a noise; remember that after the shooting that you just won, LE is going to ask you if you were in bare fear fro your life. If you were in your yard hunting for a bad guy, could you have called LE and asked them to respond? Preclusion is a term you home defense experts should be familiar with. 100 lumens is more than adequate for inside your home where your family is and where you will be in good standing when grilled by investigators.

I have a cheap light on my AR pistol it's 1000 lumens lol. It came in handy when the lights went out during a storm! But for my Shield the streamlight will do just fine. I typically keep a baldr olight on my canik when it's bedtime. 🔫🥱💯

I bought this for my full size m&p 2.0 and like it though i have had issues. I had two separate units with stripped screws. The first was quickly replaced by Streamlight and decided not to bother returning the second since i was able to get it on at least. Aside from quality issues I love the size of the light and while its not going to disorient any intruder, it will absolutely allow you to see well in dark scenarios. Laser was dead on right out of the box didnt need to do anything

Bought this for my sheild plus and when installing I dropped the inner battery/light housing. It made some part out of shape and wouldn't allow the casing to close over the light and trigger guard. Amazon changed it out for me and works like a charm now.

Pay attention to the battery latch door, appears they are using cheaper materials(Streamlight)

Crimson trace laser guard pro is the best light - laser combo for the shield in my opinion. The light is 500 lumens and the instinctive activation feature is a great plus. The only downside is it it too darn expensive. The cheapest and economical way to get it is to buy it with the gun which will be an extra $100 from the regular model. Buy it after the fact that’s a $350 hole in your pocket which is more than half of a M.2 or Shield plus.

the laser guard pro is only 150 lumens. so 50 more luments for $250 more dollars is really not worth it IMO

@@joshuasmith2468 That's why I got the OLIGHT Baldr Mini...$130 bucks 600 lumens with the Green laser a tad bit thicker but definitely a powerful light for it's size and price

@@KraziiVisionZ THAT is a good deal, especially with the green laser. I just bought a newly used m&p shield that came with the tlr-6. I like it and have no good reason to upgrade that light. But I do have a Sig SP2022 that could use a light/laser, I’ll look into that

Been carrying my shield 9mm with TLR6 (no laser), Trijicon night sights and Apex drop-in trigger for the better part of five years now. Even though I own *plenty* of other pistols, my Shield+TLR6 is my 'just right for everything' carry.

Have you fired it with the light? I took my new G26 yesterday to the range and I also have the TLR6 and the battery gate keeps opening under recoil rendering it useless since the batteries fall out.

I bought the TLR-6 for my M&P Shield Perf. Center (9mm single stack). It fits However it does not fit on 380 EZ.

Nice! I would like to have something that's much brighter, if I were to get one. All someone would need to know is my position to take the shot, and any insufficient lighting would make that possible (sitting duck.) However, if the target is coyotes, then 100 lumens is fine. 😊
