That's very well said, Mam. I believe Bollywood is to be blamed for the ill-defined version of feminism. I wonder why don't women and men of the subcontinent see that the USA has never had a woman President. In fact, India has had a history of women leaders. We have had a woman PM, many women CM of different states and especially Ms. Mayawathi was the CM of Uttar Pradesh. I mean it is feminism when a woman becomes the CM of the most versatile state of India. Currently, the Defence Minister, External affairs ministers are women. Pakistan has also had a woman Prime Minister... Bangladesh has had 2 women PM... Sri Lanka was the first country to have a woman head of the state. Myanmar has had a woman Head of the state. But Bollywood will never make a movie on them. Bollywood's definition of women empowerment is vague.. women smoking joints.. walking without clothes and abusing (these things are wrong even if men do). We really need to ponder over this and I ask the women here... Don't you feel empowered when you hear that a woman is heading ISROs first manned mission to Mars? Don't you feel empowered when you hear that DRDO has had a woman director? Don't you feel empowered when you hear about the female toppers of AIIMS or Civil Services? I agree India has a lot of women-centric issues and we all must come together to fight them and eradicate them but we shouldn't let the Americans teach what women empowerment means.

Women are continuosly portrayed wrong in our movies still. Either they are glorified with extra fashioned dress as demi gods or they are portrayed to see as " impeccably beautiful creation" of God in this planet . Damage has gone to the extent that India need neutral gender commercial ads, movies , comics ,festivals, textbook lessons right now , the need is so serious .Western feminism has already reduced our feminine India to its core biologics by serious brainwashing in the name of fashion

We know there is a lot of anger for the last few years among the Hindus and their predicament with a dwindling hope from BJP ; but we have to make this debate more lively and "happy to go to" with more sense of humor and smiles because in the end it has to be people like madhu , shefali and Rajeev Malhotra to garner, engage and influence a mind shift

Bjp has never played the hindutva card, it is scared. It has been people who think they are empowered after Bjp coming to power who have played the card. Look at rss and Bjp cadre they r quiet. It’s the spawn of bajrang, Ram sena etc sullying the name. Now I am expecting bjp to integrate Kashmir, uniform civil code, take back thousands of acre given by British to church which expired in 1998 and nationalize it. Stop conversion happening in NE and TN and allow S.Swami to fight his court case unhindered without the several spanner in wheel he has to contend with !
@aatmakeawaaz64046 жыл бұрын
Modi has a vision but bjp does not have one. If it uses all its limited number of cards, it will not have anything to fight the next 2019 election. So it will project two big ticket (Ayodhya) and “no corruption” and then hope and pray that they come through this one with Modi charisma. Their insurance is no prosecution till date of Congi , so that Congi if they win don’t go on a bjp witch hunt. If bjp wins They will then I am hoping start on the revised text book, corruption of Congi, UCC and Art 370, anti conversion and foreign funding, all india same time elections, support to Baluch and FATA.

Feminism has destroyed families in Europe, Feminism was actually invented in a culture where there was no female Goddess, and females were treated Low. In India females are considered Goddess and were respected untill Mughals came to India and started to bring Burqa, and sense of shame in females. In Islam women don't have rights, same is true in Christianity. But in India , our culture is women friendly so we don't need feminists with a western lens . Feminism has resulted in increased divorces, single mothers, etc.....

By definition of modern toxic feminism, poor women do far better than that, most are working even just days before labour hits them , and just after six months if delivery they again work in no AC no chair warm office but in heat and dirt. So by western feminism definition, poor women of India are already too feminists.

This is for the comment below. Use reasoning, not sense, because sense is an illusion. I like madhu mam's insight here tho. Responsibility leads to liberation, emotions leads to entanglement
