Great video! Technically, you can bring a bike on any train in Japan, but if you don't put the bike in a bag, it is considered rude. Japanese use what are called "Rinko" bags for transporting bikes. In a pinch, you can use a rain cover or some large trash bags. It won't look very good, but at least you won't offend anyone.

Glad you enjoyed the video! Rinko bags are great too, it does get a little tricky with the panniers/luggage. I'm glad this train route allowed bicycles, it was a nice experience :)
