I love your videos. I lived in S.A. for some years but you are taking me to places I didn't even know existed. And what a good advert for your cars! The places you go to and the roads you go on - I hold my breath sometimes while you drive over the rocky places.

We are enjoying your road trips. The dirt roads and rocky areas my wife would take and I will be holding my breath LOL. Some of the places we have heard of but never been

You missed the winery Fryers Cove. A little gem right next to the sea in Doringbaai.

We drove right up to it when we went to see the lighthouse up close, but it was early on a Sunday morning and they were closed. They have a fantastic location! 🌊

Wherever the sea is my heart is there could almost smell the sea. Well done just loved all of it.

There is so much sea around this area, you'll love it! 🌊 The smell of the ocean was so strong as we drove on that road next to the ocean, it was absolutely wonderful.

Used to go to Doringbaai to buy some "kreef" from the locals whilst on holiday at Strandfontein. Town much neater than it was. One could walk on the pier. Lovely times

Doringbaai is a lovely little village and one you must know very well, having gone to Strandfontein very often on holiday. We drove through from Strandfontein the day before for some beer since Strandfontein doesn't have a liquor store. 🍻 We loved the area down by the little harbour and lighthouse. Very chilled vibe there, which we loved! 😊🚗

So many palm trees around, it's crazy! But luckily we love them too, so don't mind that there are literally hundreds in the area! 🌴🌴

You guys missed out on the best of the trip. Wine tasting and lunch at Fryers Cove. Myself and my late wife was there a few years ago and the best sweet wine ever is sold at the winery. Very expensive but worth every sent. I still have a bottle of 500ml that i bought there for i think R200 8 or 10 years ago. Doornbaai Handelshuis got everything you need. We bought a few blank cd's there. and some other stuff. Safe travel i am busy catching up on past episodes.

I'm glad you enjoyed your wine tasting and lunch, but it's a classic case of different strokes for different folks, I think. 🤷🏻♂️ We can have the best food and wine within half-an-hour from our house, but we're not into wine at all. Not expensive food either, come to think of it. We travel to see things which we can't see close to home. Happy to hear you're catching up on old episodes. 🚙😁

The word Doorn is the old Dutch spelling for the Afrikaans doring. So I would think that the name changed over the years amongst locals to Doringbaai. ( In die volksmond ).
