Hello I started using this pump and I noticed when I pour the milk out some milk stays trapped in the top circle. Am I doing anything wrong?

You had mentiomed that you wouldnt use it to establish supply. Any suggestions on one in particular that you would? I wanted to try strictly pumping this go around and am not sure on which one to use

Hi Tiffany! Great question. You would want something stronger to establish a milk supply. Starting with a hospital grade pump for the first month (like Medela Symphony and others) while you establish a supply would be best. Otherwise, (and after the first month) I would probably do something like one of the Spectra Pumps (S1, S2, Gold). If you prefer a portable option and are ok with VERY strong suction, the BabyBuddha could work as well. Hope that helps :)

Would using this for pumping when I go back to work possibly be not strong enough to maintain my milk supply? (I'm an RN too that works 3 x 12s)

@@minabeena2906 hi Mina. Yay! So cool that you are an RN too! 💪🏽I would recommend using this more occasionally, for example if you are in the car going to Dr appointments or shopping, but when you are away from your baby for longer stretches, I would use a pump that is more effective at emptying you all the way, like a spectra, or a Symphony (if your hospital has Symphony that you can use or borrow, even better). Unfortunately, supply can tend to drop when we go back to work, especially if you have a busy job that makes it hard to stop and pump, so you want to use a reliable pump. That being said, If a portable pump makes the difference between pumping and not pumping at all because you don’t have time to sit down, it’s always better to pump independent of what pump you are using

Wondering how to make sure the pump is well centered, we can't really see. Also, how can we know we are done pumping? Sometimes I have to extend my 30min session. Currently using a Medela pump in style Thanks

I would be cautious of this pump. I have it and have only been using it a month, I nurse and pump. The motor recently has been slowly dying and losing suction, did some research and this is a common problem with the s12.

I like the s12 better just because of the digital display and timer. Otherwise, they work exactly the same.
