Welcome to my latest video on the 2JZGTE engine swap in a Nissan S15 Silvia. If you're a fan of high-performance cars and engine swaps, then this video is definitely for you.
In this video, I'll be taking you through the entire process of swapping out the stock engine in a Nissan S15 Silvia and replacing it with a Toyota 2JZGTE engine. This engine is known for its impressive power and reliability, and it's a popular choice for engine swaps.

How to build a 600hp S15 Silvia 2JZ. A basic run down of the parts used and the process to build a 600hp 2jz powered S15 Silvia. Using the 2jzgte vvti engine, all parts and processes can be used on the s13, s14, s15 and 240sx chassis.

So cool! I’m now the owner of your old SR setup btw. I’m just finishing up the final processes atm, getting it all nice and tidy in my engine bay. Nearly ready to rock’n’roll

Awsme mate, that’s a strong setup. Comes on power quite aggressive so make sure the gearbox can handle it. It blew my 6 speed strait away haha RB25 gearbox no issue 👍💪

Clear, concise info. mate-much appreciated. I'm getting more and more sold on doing an S15 to this spec. . I have an Aristo running a 2J non-VVTI with an r154 so on the hunt for a clean S15 shell and getting the swap dialed

i make order for this cam and i have same setup on m is 300 2jz vvti but the deferent between me and you the ecu setup I”m on haltech elite 2500 and you in links

Hey mate what are your wheel and tire specs? I have a white JDM s14 Kouki and I think I want to go with RPF1’s instead of TE37’s. Also, did you have to roll your fenders to fit the wheel and tire combo? Lastly, did they clear the 4 pot brakes just fine? Good concise video by the way!

You make it sound like a walk in the park . Very motivating. Did you have to massage the firewall or trans tunnel at all ?

Hey mate, haha it honestly isn’t too bad mate. Was expecting it to be a lot more work. I had already massaged the trans tunnel prior when I had the SR20 setup and the bigger rb25 gearbox. When installing the 2jz and r154, only a very small amount of massaging was done, and to be honest probably didn’t need to. But installing the engine clutch and gearbox all connected and dropping it on all in the one go helps to not need as much room.

Hi Phillip, I recently purchased some parts of you and they arrived the other day so Thanks for that. Currently 80% way through 2JZ swapping my street S15 and I am keen to know how you went about getting the dash to work and integration of the harness into the existing wiring for the car. For example i have removed the ABS unit and associated wiring so now the speed sensor wont communicate with the dash as its signal is via the ABS unit. Also how did you go about removing redundant wiring from the engine bay fuse box etc? Would be awesome if you could do a little video covering the wiring side of things otherwise any info would be much appreciated. FYI i have looked into a wiring specialties harness and all the add on options etc.. all pretty straight forward however i am choosing to go with a full custom wiring harness so i can remove and tidy up a lot of the original wiring etc... that is not needed. I will be using SR water temp and oil pressure sensors to send signals to the dash, rpm will be through the ECU.. Thanks & love the videos

Hey mate, i appreciate the msg player. Ill be make a new "How to" for the 2jz swap very soon. But to answer some of your questions, keep in mind that i do not run the stock dash cluster anymore. I run a Haltech IC7 digital dash that has all info sent Via Canbus from the LinkG4 ECU to the haltech dash. Very clean and simplifies everything. Yes if you remove the ABS like i have, you may loose the wheel speed inputs from the rear diff and wheels sensors. I overcame this with custom driveshaft (driven wheel speed) speed sensor and custom front (undriven wheels speed) sensor. i have a video showing that process on my channel. I also didnt remove any factory wiring from the engine bay fuse box. The wiring specialities engine loom is 100% plug and play. Also i didnt need to run any sensor feed back to the original dash as all my inputs and outputs go via the ECU. Having your temp sensors wired back to your OEM dash is great for info on the dash but i would suggest having them also wired to the Aftermarket ECU as well. You need those temperature feedbacks in the ECU for "protection" strategies. I would advise against the stock ECU at all costs. Hope that helps a bit mate

Hey mate, I’m not running it at the moment. It when I do I’ll rear mount most of the components as well as the radiator system under the boot/ spare wheel area. Bare in mind I want to get as much weight over my rear wheels and lighten up the front of the s15 as much as I can.

How's the fitment in the tunnel and the distance with the shifter to the factory shifter hole with the R154? Any tunnel bashing needed?

It’s honestly near perfect. Lines up about 5mm off centre of the shifter hole. Small amount of tunnel massaging to get the bell housing to fit. Nothing drastic

Hey man, I was wondering can you run the gk tech adjustable sway bar you use with the stock s15 front lower control arms? Or will I need gk tech lower control arms to line it up?I’m trying to copy your build, it’s my guideline 😅.
