The video was filmed during lunch time at Exhibit 2. The video starts with Riki tackling a net feeder. Haoko and Momoko appear from the middle gate. It seems Momoko is complaining, and Momoka is observing her. Everyone enjoys eating eggplants. Riki tries to snatch food from his mom. Momoko does not allow him to do that. Haoko is very calm. Riki and Momoka start fighting for the one last pellet in the net feeder. You will find out who got it at the end in the video. The video ends with Momoko entering the room with a branch. This is the last episode of the recent Haoko Troop that I filmed before leaving Japan. Thank you for watching! ❤️

I won't be able to film as often as I used to, but once I come back to Japan to see my human family, I will definitely go and see my gorilla family as well. There are quite many videographers filming this troop and once Momoko and Sumomo return to the troop, there will be more. So we will be fine.😉🌷

Riki is a cheeky bugger, he gets away with alot being the only boy. Lol What a beautiful video of Sumomo & Momoko, she is a pro having already mothered 4 offspring, she was gentle & encouraging, I don't think it will take long till she is back with her family. Karin you will be sorely missed, you've touched alot of people with your kind & caring nature. I think there are alot of people who will be vocal about Rola & Monty getting their needs met.. Hi Alina. Japan is my home country, but I usually live outside of Japan. During the pandemic, I stayed in Japan and started filming the gorillas after the zoo reopened. I won't be able to film the gorillas in Japan as often as I used to, but I go back to Japan from time to time to see my human family as well as gorilla family. Thank you for your sweet comment!🌷

Is the zoo 100% positive that Komomo doesn't have a problem with her ear?

Good question. I've heard people say the zoo had done checking Komomo's ears and found no problem. Since I can't find the official source to back up such information, so I'm not really sure if she is 100% okay with ears. I think Komomo tends to hold her ears more often when she is on-exhibit.

It is a stereotype that appears in gorillas in captivity, mostly in females. It is usually caused by stress, like other repetitive behaviors ((like humans when we bite our nails). This does not mean that gorillas in modern zoos have a poor quality of life in general, but it is clear that being exposed to the public and in captivity affects them. These behaviors do not appear in animals in freedom.
