I have your book but seeing it is always better than reading about it. Thanks for sharing.

What about when we introduce humidity to a square bound such as Xmen Annual 14? Would it still be 140 x10 min and flip in 4 hours or would somethung change? Thanks for posting, I've learned so much from your videos!

Yes the method and temperature is the same so the glue doesn’t melt.

Great videos! In your book I think you were recommending 125 degrees for 30 minutes and no flipping for the squarebound books. Have you found this way (140/10min, flip after 4 hrs) to be more effective?

This is for this particular book specifically, being a brand new modern age book from 2020.

Myke, still confused about older books. I want to ultimately press the greatest Giant Size of all X-Men 1 so initially I want to practice on my crappy copies of ManThing instead. Did these use glue as well as the staples? I see the staples inside the cover so I'm guessing some glue was used? Since the staples are back to front as opposed to the spine what should be used as a buffer, 65lb stock? Also I noticed that Annuals in the 70's were squarebound mainly but by the early 80's were stapled like a traditional comic, just with more pages. I'm assuming that following standard methods would suffice with these? As always thanks for your insight.

Correct. The method is the same. The idea is to use spine protection by stacking strips of backer boards alongside the spine. The 70s books have a glued cover but the book is still stapled. The method is very effective in preventing staples from crushing through the front and back covers.
