That it is! Al, this is Jennifer. Figured I would give you an update on my finger. It is actually two of them. Not just the one. I was informed today that the ER doc read the xrays instead of waiting for radiology to. She missed the fracture in my index finger and didn’t realize they were both displaced fractures. Long story short, I have only had minimal healing. I am headed to ortho tomorrow morning at 8 to get the true verdict.
@alluchterhand7464 жыл бұрын
Smoky Mountain Outpost Jennifer, Oh I remember you had both wrapped up originally, Well that stinks, hope for the best outcome. Come on your a nurse, and working with your Dad all you need was to wrap them up with electrical tape! Lol Many of times I have done, if my 84 yo mom RN new of all my remedies!!! 😂😂😂

I noticed that you reversed your drill to back the auger out of the holes. So thought I would tell you how I do it. I reverse the drill just enough to disengage the screw tip and then go back to forward as I lift the auger out. It clears the chips out of the holes better. Darn you do nice work. Your place is looking fantastic.

Turn the cup facing downward, instead of up, like a cup in the planks, they are exposed, they need to shed water, not allow water to be held .
@SmokyMountainOutpost4 жыл бұрын
Some of them I left like they were because of the curve on the flip side. Using the complete flat side to conserve lumber for the cabin. As well, I can always replace if needed.

I was taught to check the ends of boards that were going to be exposed and to turn the arc of the growth rings up as much as possible. Like this ︵. That way if it cupped it wouldn't catch water. Just an observation, not criticism.

My equipment doesn’t run very long. Grew up in construction and didn’t have any of those things. I suppose you call that “old school.” Never had any problems with skill saw and wood flying. I understand working all day near heavy equipment the use for heating. But, I don’t. It is quiet generally around me. I also use hand tools a lot. So, I probably won’t use any especially since I’m changing out most items with battery operated. I use ear plugs if I’m cutting all day with the chainsaw.

Why didn't you build a small annex on the cabin for the toilet seems you are going to a lot of trouble to send people out into the cold for a visit and then there is during the night as well, not good. Cheers.
