S2000 AP2 Front End Refresh - JDM AP1 Lamps

We're freshening the front end on our #HTSpecS2K!
The OEM front bumper and accessory lip were pitted and ugly, so we replaced the front bumper with a new one, and refinished the front lip. Fresh from paint, see the new vs the old! The final install coming soon.
For the headlamps, the original AP2 lamps were all cracked in the lens and had a generally busy-looking design. JDM AP1 lamps have a much cleaner look. There are some caveats to installing them though. We needed to convert them to LHD and buy new ballasts. The end result is pretty awesome!

Crazing. The little crack-like pattern is called crazing.

Could you just open both JDM head lights and only swap the part with the ridge from left to right to have the same effect?

It doesn't really work like that, both the right and the left projectors are designed for the right hand or left hand pattern. They're not interchangeable right to left and even if they were it wouldn't really change the pattern that much. You need cut-offs that are designed for left hand drive or right hand drive.
