Thanks for letting me fly with you again today. Awesome trip. Would be nice to have one of those big Kings on the end of a fly line. Wow.

What a great video. Congratulations on getting 99 total fish. Never saw a video about the net fishing so that was really interesting to watch. Really enjoyed seeing the drone footage you had as well.

Another awesome video! I've learned more about Alaska watching your videos than any other channel that I had dropped in on! Just glad that I subscribed! To me you've proved that the advantage of flying in Alaska is that it opens up so many possibilities to enjoy what Alaska has to offer. As always, thanks for sharing! Looking forward to your next video! Rick From Virginia

The salmon off Copper River is really amazing! The fish have a huge run up the river so they have a really high fat/oil content.

How do you become a pilot for a small personal aircraft like yours? Cost? time/education investment? Specifically for Alaska.
@isaaclandecker907 Жыл бұрын
The FAA requires 40 hrs for a private pilot license. You could easily knock it out over the summer for around $5-10K. To get good at landing off airfield (beaches, ridges, gravel bars, glaciers, etc) you need around 200 hrs in that plane. I have about 800 hrs in my supercub and I’m still learning!

Am completely against this. subsistence, supposed to be catch enough to feed yourself. most catch all they can not what they need and even selling them. not the intention

This is to feed myself for an entire year….and it will.

If you believe that gill netting , or come to think of it any netting of fish species is Sustainable then you need your head read.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am pretty sure you know why fish have spawning grounds?? So fishing in there spawning grounds but surely be Non Sustainable..
@isaaclandecker9073 жыл бұрын
We are over 100 miles from their spawning grounds so nothing to worry about there. Department of fish and game manages the run to ensure enough fish make it to the spawning grounds.
