This is the only reason that keeps me from not getting a Samsung/Android phone. Samsung just performs so poorly on social media apps, which have become an everyday usage for all. I use Snapchat daily and if Samsung just can’t perform well on it, or look crisp then it’s a dealbreaker. It’s a shame cuz S24/S24+/S24 Ultra are vastly superior to iPhones and have a much better camera/firmware/tech/features etc…

This issue will never be fixed your best option if u want superior android footage is to take the video/picture on your main camera app then upload them to social media

when I upload photos and videos from my Android gallery, the quality drops a lot, especially for videos. I'm a big Samsung fan, but I have to say that the iPhone definitely has an advantage in this aspect. I'm currently using the S23.

You are 100% right with s24U There are some small bugs here and there that ruin the experience. If you need a phone for video and social media the iPhone is the better option to go

My experience is still the iPhone is better than the S24 (or any other android phone) for social media. Even my old iPhone 12 and Xs takes better quality videos in apps like tiktok, snapchat etc. This is the biggest downside of Android phones, because they have amazing cameras but in social media apps the performance is just not very good, especially when the lighting is not perfect, because software optimization is much more important than hardware here. I can almost immediately tell when someone is using an Android phone in these apps.

@@christopheredale I mean I still prefer Android over iPhone by a long shot. But for social media apps specifically, iPhone has always been better. So if you are a person that takes a lot of photos, and especially videos in social media apps, then iPhone is definitely the better option. I sometime bring two phones just to use the iPhone as a social media phone lol.

I had an s9+ and upgraded to ip12pro now planning to get a new phone. The iphone is honestly boring asf, it the same look for years. I really love the samsung ecosystem. Iphone is unnecessarily limiting and does random sh*t like close the hotspot automatically etc. I really want the s24 ult but all apps are optimised and work really well with the iphone. If only samsung collaborated with meta and tiktok to make their apps more optimized for high end samsung devices if not across all devices.

If you record with the native camera app and after that upload it to Tiktok the quality will be the highest with minimal artefacts

I used to have S22 ultra used it for 2 years recently bought 16 pro max. Used it for 2 months. Only good thing about iphone is imessage and battery life, other than that samsung which is pretty old is still more user friendly and easy to use.

Yes the iPhone exposure (warm) and brightness is good. Samsung (cool) and low brightness. But Samsung can minimize light from good lights and good autofocus and micropone samsung is better in a little shaky video
