Dual speakers headphone jack and, SD card slots would put both these phones worlds ahead of any competitor. Let's give Sony credit for proving amazing phones still have room for all of these and, being more versatile. If Sony steps up with an bixby/siri get it's app store and, give options for these amazing Ai photos it would be right there if not better. But, I have both an iphone and, Samsung and they're the best phones I've owned. Except when the LG velvet first released to bad they stopped production. These four companies could've all blew away other competitors

You can do many blur adjustments for portraits AFTERWARDS... Actually more post blur adjustments than the iPhone. Click on the "I", then background effects.

Grrr. I envy you atm. Picked up my purple today. I tried to switch it for a different color, natural titanium at first.. but the black one hit in the very very last minute. I tested S24 Ultra 200 mp camera on the weekend filming the videos with my pets while on the river at sunset and doing sunset lanscape photos. I was blown away by the quality and colours of S24 Ultra camera. Videos were great, bright, great resolution. The sunset photos cannot be ever compared to the photos made with my previous phone Galaxy S10 Plus. The colours are on S24 Ultra are the most vibrant I have ever seen on any phone. I instantly fell in love with its camera. Also, portrait photos on S24U are unbelievably good, they look like a professional camera work with blown-out backgrounds and extremely sharp portraits. Great work Samsung. Really impressive. This is without even testing AI editing on S24 Ultra which I still have to try.

When I used the photo option on the S24 Ultra for the first time, I immediately saw that the image is much sharper. And I hadn't even taken the photo yet. The photos are also really sharper and clearer on the S24 Ultra no doubt about that. I use both devices myself and the S24 Ultra has the upper hand for me right now. And that while i'm an isheep lol..

I see many people do this mistake. Just so you know, HDR10 is also Log. HDR10 is using the PQ EOTF which is a really flat log curve. It's capable of huge dynamic range. It's probably better than whatever Log profile the iPhone is using. The difference is HDR10 is actually usable to begin with on HDR screens. Doesn't take much effort to grade it and tonemap it to SDR (Rec. 709) or whatever you want. People, do your research before randomly throwing "points" at products :)

Regarding Portrait photo, Galaxy can change the focus position after taking Portrait photo as Iphone15P. Go to Gallery after taking Potrait photo, swipe up that photo and then you can find out Background effect. If you touch on the photo then the focus will be changed to that point. I always use this refocus function with galaxy from long time ago, Samsung have been supporting this feature for along time. Even before iPhone 15.

For me, being able to take 3-D videos and view them in my Quest 3 makes iPhone the clear winner. Spatial videos can be watched right out of the phone using the 4XVR viewer app for Quest VR headsets. It’s a game-changer for me.

Both phones take amazing photos and videos. Post-processing is becoming more mainstream once you learn to use them more the better your photos become. I have the s24 ultra, and a Sony a7iii photo editing has became amazingly easyer and faster on the 24 ultra.

You can edit the focus on Samsung phone's for years now (min. 07:15). It was already possible on my Galaxy Note 9, but it wasn't really good back then, but on my Galaxy S22 Ultra it was as good as the IPhone one since the day it was released and I think they could already do it bevor Apple. Apple fan's wanted that feature to, so they got it. 🤔

The camera is a 50-50 but the S24 Ultra wins in every other clategory like the performance, display, software and AI features, etc. The S24 Ultra is the best phone hands down 🙌🏻

Just like your review, I felt both phones were on an even scale. However, I'm leaning tad slightly towards the iphone mainly, bcos iphone offers Advanced Data Protection for its icloud service whereas, s24/s23/etc doesn't. I mean you can adjust the blur afterwards so the ultra would’ve gotten 1 extra point but you never even mentioned all of the ai features the ultra has. Like making any video sloom by holding down on it, editing something on the photo and putting it in a diffrent place or completely remove it.

Any thoughts on Vivid mode not working? Settings-->Display-->Screen Mode-->Vivid isn't doing anything. It's just Natural (even when vivid is selected), and most people switch from Natural when they get their Samsung phone.

At 2:40 You can see extra detail on the Samsung and more sharpness in the trees, on the iPhone it's more smooth/blurred and again the iPhone loses it in the shadows. For example, under the jacket. I even went back to 2:35, and again there is clearly more clarity on the s24. But iPhone has Zoom in the stabilisation mode which adds a few brownie points. As for the night shot @ 5:12 the s24 showed more detail but again a little over sharpened. The iPhone smoothed out a little too much in spots. I must say they're pretty close, hopefully future updates will fix their little processing and jittering flaws. Still all in all I'd prefer the Samsung 24 ultra.

No. This is partially prepared video supporting either iPhone or Samsung... There are numerous phones out there. phones are there with Great Camera capabilities like Vivo x100, Huewai p60/Mate60, Mi 14 Pro and many more. She used review only these two brands...

The other thing that people have to remember is that you are comparing a phone that came out September of last year with a phone that technically launched yesterday. I have a 15 pro for work and it's received countless updates with camera improvements. I'm sure that Samsung will be getting a Hugh update within the first two weeks or so. I know you can only review what you have know, but you should mention that. Nice video though!
