Thanks for another lovely vlog. Yes I know what you mean about security. We travelled for a year and often didn’t go into towns we really fancied visiting , due to worry about our ‘home’ while we were away. Twenty five years ago it was just the steering lock on our very old converted merc and wheel lock or occ bits of starter motor too :) ! Never had a real problem but, moved a few times to avoid potential ones. Outer Hebrides never a concern :) only person who knocked once wanted to give us a salmon !

As you say, it's just a reality of this type of life. Perhaps we're too paranoid but this has also meant no incidents thus far. 🤞

A really nice video this time and all the previous ones too. At least you see and do a lot more than if you travelled any other way. I'm the same with my van, I like to be in sight of it most of the time when travelling about, all because of criminals. 😦 🤔😮

Hey there guys thanks again for an interesting vlog… glad you managed to fix Lisa’s cycle… and great to see you feeling more confident on your cycle Lisa! Practice I guess ❤️ I remember Drew pushing my cycle up a hill for me when I ran out of stamina … in the heat …it happens 😎little face of concern 👩🏼 lovely little Island, those beautiful blue skies and sea …heaven Gelato 🙃😎 We are currently sorting lights and cameras etc to secure our van …once you have done what you can, I guess it’s a question of trusting and staying positive that all will be well… that’s my theory anyway …philosophy 🙏 Thanks again …have a beautiful week & look forward to seeing more 🚲🚲🛵🏍️☺️🙃😘

This is a really good video down to earth and true reality. I think you always have a certain amount of anxiety when you leave your van alone, what type of security do you recommend as we're going on a long road trip soon and need something.I found your video on all your stuff.

Weak areas are windows and cab doors. What you implement is entirely up to your paranoia level. 😁 If you can't stop forced entry perhaps consider a secure lockbox or safe to keep valuables. Don't leave the van unattended in dodgy places and when visiting park in secure, paid lots. Enjoy the trip!

Of course. Apart from the ecological benefits it's probably also why the water is so clear. We've learned there is a project underway to plant additional beds along the coast to combat the losses.

That looks a lovely little island and typically everything is on a small scale. Its a shame you can't be more relaxed about leaving your van for a while so you can enjoy the atmosphere in the towns more, but I fully understand why. No matter whatever type of transport you use, there's always that anxiety and you must trust your senses, but it is a shame sometimes. Take care.👋🇺🇦🇪🇺🇬🇧

Thank you. Yes, it sucks having to be so cautious and paranoid at times. Usually when we visit larger cities, we would opt to leave the van in a secure place which helps. Fortunately, we've never had an incident, but this might also have to do with our vigilance on the matter.

Unfortunately that's not possible. There used to be 'camping on deck' on some ferries but that hasn't been an option for a while.

@@LettyHuang0903 It's always your choice to book a cabin or not, even with overnight trips. There's plenty of places to make yourself comfortable. But often cabins are really cheap and well worth it. We usually try to take a day ferry wherever possible.
